I had my own personal fight against german, failed a bunch of exams of that in college and went all the way to the last possible exam where if you fail, you get kicked out of your degree. I don't think anybody below 35 and/or unmarried should be allowed to wear such a watch. I personally can't stand wristwatches, but when I see a person wearing one of that kind (not just a Rolex, but a big, metallic, armored-like timepiece) it's like I have to address them with more respect. And I don't even know why. Perhaps all the marketing finally got into me.

I'm 36 and paid for it with self-earned money.

not at all, most bracelets don't pinch hairs anymore. bracelet quality has dramatically improved over the last five years in all price ranges.

i don't know how anyone could hate learning german! i really love it, though the grammar sometimes makes no sense to me... when i finally do figure it out, i feel very triumphant.

i think it is one of the coolest languages. and i love the swiss version too hope one day i can really master it.

The language itself is cool, and despite most people around here saying that it sounds like if you were always insulting, I like it specially by its grammar and the way that you can build sentences changing them just at the very end.

My experience learning it was not. That's the thing. Like I said, I'll probably get back to it sooner rather than later.

yeah i can understand that. i also like french but i had a crappy time learning it with a lot of bad teachers so it never stuck with me.

i've heard that all the time about german too, that german people always sound like they are angry, but i think that is really a stereotype... i don't find it to be true at all. then again i live in switzerland where they speak "cute" german that's all sing-songy and funny sounding but i like high german too. i think german gets a bad rap.
