There are many difrent types.

You seem to be switching between a well spoken Londoner and a more cockney accent in that video which is obviously jarring. Stick to one type and you should be alright.

i know there are many types... i spent a semester out there a year ago and have been trying to remember all i can. unfortunately the only exposure i've had so far is extras and some spaced. the thing is i also don't want to sound like a bbc radio announcer-- so i know i haven't nailed down one consistent region yet.

i'd like to sound like i grew up in central london, but not queen's english
 
Just watch a bunch of Jude Law interviews/movies. I assume that is the kind of accent you're going for, well spoken but definitely from London.

mm, good to note-- i think that is what i'm looking for. it is a comedy though and i don't want it to be too warm of an accent. that is, it's for a role i'll be playing in a pilot so i'd at best like to fool anyone from the area i'm stealing the dialect from

i'll figure it out but thanks for the advice
