How the Overwatch World Cup Will be Played:

The Overwatch world cup is here once again this time with much needed improvements. The World cup is a friendly series of Overwatch matches being played on LAN for nations to brag about being the best.
In contrast to the 2016 World Cup where each countries roster was voted in by users online, the 2017 World Cup was carried out by users voting for three committee members who are a part of the Overwatch Scene in some way from each respective country to then pick the roster to represent them.
This in turn should provide a much more competitive and well-rounded series of games and teams as we won't have crap like Australia with muselk getting full held on eichenwalde by a Torb/Symm duo being nano boosted GG South Korea.

I was contemplating doing this section but went ahead with it to be freindly to new viewers.
Competitive Overwatch has been going on for a litter over a year now and in that time it has created its share of own memes and jokes that only if you have been following the scene you would know.
So to inform new viewers heres a few explained.

C9:
Use: C9 is spammed in chat whenever a team loses a point they can hold or fails to take the point and loses the round after clearly being able to do so.

Origin: C9 is a joke that started during one of Cloud 9s matches against i believe a team in korea at apex. they failed to capture points due to leaving them and letting teams easily cap off them without an advantage which happend multiple times during the series. the name C9 became synonymous with losing points.

DAFRAN:
Use: Dafran is seen spammed in chat whenever a team seems like it is throwing or indeed are throwing.

Origin: Dafran is the name of an Overwatch pro player who previously played for Selfless but got kicked from the team after throwing games in ranked games on stream for viewers to see. he was also banned from Contendors Season 0 and 1 by blizzard as well as Season 5 of Competitive Overwatch. though that is what led to his ban he also previously threw in professional play during Selfless vs Yikes in the OMM

Also if you see anything relating to flipping burgers, mcdonalds or fast food its probably related to Dafran as he used to work in Mcdonalds before playing professionally.

Esca LUL:
Use: Spammed in chat whenever a mistake or bad play is done. This is mostly used for bad plays on Tracer but sometimes seen just in general.

Origin: Esca is a popular korean overwatch player for Lunatic Hai. Esca LUL came to prominence during the end of his Apex s1 run and during s2 where he would have bad plays most notably on Tracer where he had almost throwing pulse bombs.

Arhan LUL:
Use: similar to Esca LUL but used more exclusively for bad plays on Genji

Origin: Arhan like Esca had bad if not worse plays than Esca during S1 and S2 of apex which spawned this iteration of LUL.
