Who is killing a lot of the pesky insects in your home? The ones you and your family, your parents, your life partners, your children would swallow in their sleep, when they are at their weakest? Who is killing off the vermin invading the shadows and unseen ceilings? Spiders are. Spiders are watching over humanity and protect them. They don't humans, they mostly say hello. Handle them with respect, push them away or put them outside if you don't like them. There are surely enough people out there who appreciate the silent help of the silkwalkers. This internet hate for spiders is absolutely silly.

It's 2016, why are we still finding new types of spiders anyway? What being is reading GAF, and laughing while popping these things into existence?!

WASHINGTON -- Our world is a much wilder place than it looks. A new study estimates that Earth has almost 8.8 million species, but we've only discovered about a quarter of them. And some of the yet-to-be-seen ones could be in our own backyards, scientists say.

So far, only 1.9 million species have been found. Recent discoveries have been small and weird: a psychedelic frogfish, a lizard the size of a dime and even a blind hairy mini-lobster at the bottom of the ocean.

Because there are millions of undiscovered species

NOBODY HAS DIED OF A SPIDER BITE IN AUSTRALIA SINCE 1979.

You're more likely to be massacred in America than bitten in Australia.
