VR is so dead there's still more after yesterday's massive media dump which turned some not insignificant updates to links instead of embeds, which was after the day before's VR showcase surrounded by stuff more than enough to fill a post even without the showcase's content, which itself was...

That one looks great -- I love seeing more polished puzzle-adventures on the level of Ghost Town or 7th Guest.

It's my favorite VR genre, particularly when things are just creepy & atmospheric but not full horror... too many devs think everything needs to be horror instead of being more of a narrative adventure.

finally one of the n64 decomps adds VR support... I don't know why it hasn't happened yet for games like OoT or Mario 64. Even when they're not 1st person games, they would look great in "toy" vr mode seeing the level from above, like the excellent Tomb Raider VR port did it.
But there ARE ports for ship of harkinian (Zelda OoT), Starship (StarFox), Spaghettikart (MK64). Sadly they only got one alpha release, playable, but with a lot of issues, they're hard to set up right (have to set your desktop resolution to something with a 4:3 ratio so the image doesn't look stretched in headset), lack 6DOF support (and maybe even stereoscopy, I'm not 100% sure) and they're seemingly abandoned, they haven't been updated in nearly a year.

very interesting, hadn't seen these attempts. Would be nice if there could be a unified framework for these n64 games when porting to VR; likely a lot of the code could be ported between version if it existed, still needing a lot of adjustment but at least boostrapping the basics

maybe I'll spend some of my extra Fable credits on that in the future
