thought Heavy Rain was better.
That seems to be the general consensus around GAF and amongst the few I've discussed the games with in person.
thought Heavy Rain was better.
I'm about half way through Beyond, but I would much rather prefer a Heavy Rain port.
Not that Beyond isn't good, but it just isn't as gripping or interesting as Heavy Rain was.
I really, really hope so. I loved Heavy Rain and would buy this in a heartbeat on PS4. It was too late in the previous gen for me to get into.
look here another store listed it for 2014...

its switzerland too
It's a Swiss store actually - Alcom.

Beyond doesn't deserve the remake treatment. I'm all for keeping classic or iconic games up to date, but Beyond simply doesn't qualify. It was pretty disappointing after the masterful Heavy Rain.
I hope they do it, I'm pretty much holding out from buying it on PS3 because I'm almost sure they'll make a PS4 version.
God I hope not.
None of David Cage's trilogy of dumb deserve a re-release.
Once was already too much.
Not like you need to buy it you know.Beyond doesn't deserve the remake treatment. I'm all for keeping classic or iconic games up to date, but Beyond simply doesn't qualify. It was pretty disappointing after the masterful Heavy Rain.
Not selling enough is actually a pretty good reason for a remaster. Look at Tomb Raider. It did well enough just as Beyond, but still got a remaster, cause SE wasn't satisfied with the initial sales. PS4 owners are thirsty and this is the best time to sell remasters to them.plausible, but they didn't sell or get loved enough for sony to warrant ps4 versions.
All these posts expressing the opinion that Heavy Rain is more deserving of coming to the PS4 echo my own feelings towards a Beyond port. The game really isn't very good, and doesn't warrant the resources spent on a current-gen port. Half the time it looked like a PS4 game anyway.

I kind of assume Heavy Rain, Puppeteer, and Ascension are coming in some form.
well well, look what popped up on my twitter:
And you probably only heard the very limited official release. Fortunately someone managed to extract all the music and I uploaded most if it to YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH9HqPPnp-k&index=1&list=PL3o7FNunOmIL7PNBFT-BJR-XAW0zqryoUMan this game has some epic music. I listen to it all the time.
Did it even sell well?
1.5m+ million as of March. Probably closer to 2m now. About on par with Heavy Rain, although it took longer for HR to get discounted (different market situation too). This specific remaster if it does exist would be aimed at thirsty PS4 owners and I can imagine it could sell quite a few copies.this
I dont think it even sold well to warrant it.
AAA first party exclusives that released recently? Not really no. Only Beyond, TLoU and GoW:Ascension apply, so does 3 will likely get a remaster. Beyond sold well enough too.Why do people talk about this of all games getting a remaster? Didn't it release to mediocre reviews? There are tons of better reviewing and better selling candidates on PS3.

but would it equate to the dev cost t producing said title for ps4?
I would love to play it since I didn't get a chance to do so on PS3, I would honestly probably play it on PSNow
Which technical issues? Beyond only has a few places where the framerate chugs a bit, but so do most games. Apart from that it is pretty much bug and glitch free, which is kinda amazing after Heavy Rain. No tearing either and I don't consider black bars a technical problem really. If they could up the res to 1080P. Get a solid 30 FPS with no tearing and possibly get rid of the black bars then yes. I would be down. The technical issues in every QD game always bum me out. Hoping for some stability on their PS4 title
Shinobi's re-tweet lends some credence to it I would imagine. The problem with these sites is you also have listings like these (all PS4):
The Beyond engine was already ported to PS4 for the Dark Sorcerer demo (clever). After that I think the port wouldn't be that costly tbh.but would it equate to the dev cost t producing said title for ps4?

And I would get all 3. I never played Heavy Rain or Puppeteer. I did play Ascension and while it wasn't my favorite GoW game I still liked it enough. The PS4's muscle should be able to lock down Ascencion's framerate to a solid 60fps. That was one of my issues with the game.I kind of assume Heavy Rain, Puppeteer, and Ascension are coming in some form.

T'would be so fantastic. An already great looking game with some updated visuals (not that it needs much), same gameplay , though maybe some tweaks using the touch pad etc.
Is there much possibility of it happening?
It was such a poor decision to release Puppeteer on PS3 instead of PS4.
