Well, a pre-order gives you the cole mission...otherwise it seems like knowing the exact story of the first two is not nearly as important as it was in Mass Effect.

Game went gold 2/25, nearly a month before release. Why didn't they just work on it for another week so we didn't have to DL a day one patch?
So preordered the PS4/SS bundle and I can see the game is out in the open now. Though I'm tempted I'm not going to bother seeing spoiler vids but it does make the wait harder. Normally wasn't going to buy the system until the fall but Second Son does indeed look like a blast to play, a great first title to enjoy on the PS4.
Hope that Sucker Punch lifts the embargo since people are already playing the game. Making reviews wait till thurs is just unnecessary now. Getting positive buzz a week before release can only help sales.

They have a production timeline to meet. If you want the game to go gold one week later than you would also need to expect a one week delay for the game. That would have put it into the next fiscal year.
How can you possibly be upset about such a small patch?

I know it is linked to the previous games, but should I expect to be completely lost in terms of the story? Are there good story synopses of the first two games out there to read/watch?

I started watching this and it seems like if the sound effects lacks bass or something, something is missing, is lacking punch, heavyness I don't know how to describe it.

Are you on dial up? Day one patches are common place for almost every title.
and 350mb is tiny. thats like a couple of mins at the most.

Watched the entire preview and I hate to say it but it looks quite boring...
- gameplay looks kind of repetitive (hope that the various power will help with this)
- the civilians are as brainless as ever
- the quest look run of the mill
- the absence of shadows looks weird
Damn thought I would definitely pick this up, but now its looking more like a rental :/
