FREE TO PLAY THAT’S WORTH YOUR TIME

SKILL BEATS LUCK

Crush the enemy with brute strength or outsmart them with clever tricks — no matter your deck, GWENT’s unique round-based gameplay opens up a world of strategic possibilities to play with when fighting for victory.

MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PLAY

Whether it’s a quick online game against a friend, a highly competitive PvP challenge, or something new and wildly adventurous like the Arena, GWENT’s selection of game modes has got you covered.

EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY

Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.

NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS

You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?

It's too bad they've ruined this game for me. I really liked old gwent.

The game made so many concessions just so it could transition to mobile that I can't really enjoy it anymore.

I really like Gwent and play at least one game everyday. There is an upcoming expansion now:

And it seems like a great one, again. The devs and team behind the game is really active and actually listens to the community and it is something that deserves our support. Way too many devs and companies behave like pricks. Sure it all comes down to business and I am not naive enough to believe otherwise but it's still important to show support where it is needed. If you have any interest in card games or the Witcher universe give Gwent a try. I am actually quite sure you wont regret it.

I played a bit when it was first released on console. Will give it another try - the sound effects in Hearthstone are too damn annoying.

You should all be paying the best CCG, Legends of Runeterra.
That's a weird way to spell KARDS ;)

There are quite a few good CCGs out right now which is awesome for fans of the genre. Add another to the list when Artifact 2.0 gets out of beta.

For some reason GWENT just doesn't click with me. I tried it for two hours before throwing in the towel.

You mean that game that looks like an ad I get when playing Wordfeud? No thanks.
The art will grow on you, and even if it doesn't, it is a great game mechanically. As a MTG player first and always, it is rare you see this level of depth in a video game only CCG. Definitely needs more cards right now, but that is coming. It destroys Hearthstone and pretty much any others I have played. You should give it a shot.

I am actually not a huge fan of card games in general and only play Gwent because of the Witcher. Then I just never grew tired of it. But the times I check other card games out I am scared away by the horrible art styles. But will make sure to give it an honest try someday if you recommend it. It's free after all.

Didn't realize it went mobile. may try it again now.

That said I'm glad this game, Artifact, or Runettra didn't click with me initially because I'm like an alcoholic with these types of games. Last night I thought I'll play a quick game of Monster Train right before bed and I got mentally stuck playing over and over until 3:30 am. I didn't even want to particularly play it as I had just finished installing mods for Skyrim VR an hour before. It took total burnout for me to stop playing Hearthstone (aside from single player expansions), Magic and other Magic-likes (Eternal, Hex).
