I don't venture over to the gaming side much anymore but isn't it fairly agreed upon that Halo 3 looks pretty average for a 360 game. To be fair I haven't watched all the footage...

I thought most people were getting it because of the tight gameplay.

Full to the brim with awesome gameplay and 10.0 scores. I am not arguing with you, I agree. It is like when I first started playing Bioshock. I hoped it was 15 gigs larger, 13 hours shorter, and 2.5 points lower by the average reviewer. But those ass holes did not play along.

But we know how much it sucked right? Just like when Halo 3 comes out, we will know how bad it is! Fuck the rest of them, we are smarter, faster and stronger.

Well, I just finished the game and I can confirm that the game indeed looks like a HD version of Halo 2. THe playing mechanics are great, but the graphics just isnt. A bit higher rez textures, low poly models, lack of AF, lack of proper AA and the list goes on.

Personally, I think the feature set will knock the game up into the 9.5-10 range, but I could be being optimistic.

Bungie wiped the floor with all the other developers with this game in terms of content. Whether one likes it or not is another matter.

I'm particularly fond of the episode in Halo lore where a bunch of Spartans and Elites had an epic battle over who could stand inside a glowing, translucent ring the longest. And that one time they fought over a flag for years on end. So many brave souls lost for that sucker.
