Unless I'm seeing things wrong, she is the Jack of Blades, the original villain of Fable.

The Jack of Blades was written in a way where that character could be their own protagonist/hero.

So think of it like there technically being two heroes, one renegade, one paragon (your character), and they're on a collision course.
