Two classics of the series in one Switch package - and a solid port all round. With all DLC bundled in, it's very much an all-in-one - but does it leverage the enhancements of the recent PS4 and Xbox One remaster? Or is it closer in nature to the last-gen release? Tom finds out.
Summary:
- Switch runs at dynamic 1920x1080 while docked
- Switch runs at native 720p while in portable mode, still no sight of dynamic resolution in place
- Runs at 30 fps with v-sync with some dips at 25, but stable most of the gameplay
- Both docked and portable have similar perfomance
- No high resolutions texture or tessellation like PS4/Xbox get
- Better ambient oclusion than PS3/Xbox 360
- The only problem with this port is compression on recorded dialogue
- HUD was improve, the game have HD Rumble and Joy-Cons motion controls for aiming
- In package: Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, AC Rogue and all DLC included
