They worked things out with Sapkowski so I am very much hoping that they do put that into play. Witcher 3 was a masterpiece and there is still life in there.

Considering they have a habit of creating a new engine every game, i would like to see them to polish (heh it is a pun!) the hell out of the Cyperpunk 2077 engine that way it can be used for the next Witcher entry when the time comes.

Yeah, I'd love for them to use all their learning from C77 and put that into Witcher 4 for next gen.

During CD Projekt RED’s Monday conference, its president Adam Kicinski revealed that the team is currently working on three games based on the Cyberpunk universe. The first one is Cyberpunk 2077 that will release in 2020, and the team’s next big game will also be set in the Cyberpunk universe.

As Kicinski said:

“We’re working on three cyberpunk things – over the main game and over two more. These are three teams. We are also working on ‘Gwent’ and we still have an unannounced game in Spokko. So we have five working teams, three working on ‘Cyberpunk’ “

Vice-President Piotr Nielubowicz added:

“Our next big project will also be in the ‘cyberpunk’ universe, and we’re already working on it and treating it as a really big and innovative project for us.”

So yeah, it appears that Cyberpunk fans will get two more additional games following Cyberpunk 2077’s release in April 2020.

Kicinski has also confirmed the team in Wroclaw is associated with the multiplayer mode of Cyberpunk 2077. It remains to be seen though whether the game will feature this multiplayer mode at launch or via a post-launch update. Or perhaps one of the unannounced Cyberpunk projects is a multiplayer-focused game?

Last but not least, Kicinski expects the PC sales to be a bit lower than those of The Witcher 3. Kicinski claims that there is now a bigger console base than in 2015 when The Witcher 3 came out, and that The Witcher series has been historically tied to the PC platform (something that boosted the game’s PC sales).

I would love to see Witcher 1-2-3 all redesigned in a new engine by a different team as a seamless experience. With new content. Brining W1 and W2 up to a new standard on par with W3.

Even 2077 is going to bring the best cards available to their knees, scaleable engine and all. Will be the same engine again, don’t expect anything but 4K and RT turned on.

I really hope the next Witcher has Geralt. I know they said he's done.. but c'mon.. it won't be Witcher without Geralt of Rivia in it. Might as well call it something else.

I love me some Geralt. Had a man crush on him since he was trading cards and smashing ass. But i'd be down if they kinda went with their original idea of Witcher and do it Jedi Academy style and let me make my own Witcher that gets to interact with some of the characters from the previous games on a whole new adventure and focus.....Maybe Geralt and Lethos choose to rebuild the schools of the Wolf and Viper and have more Witchers roaming the world because of a new convergence happening that unleashed a shit ton of monsters never before seen. Though, I'm good with another Geralt outing too.
