Astro Gaming has announced its latest revision to its flagship A50 wireless headset at E3 2019. The 4th generation release of the A50 is set to go on sale this summer, and will have versions for Xbox/PC and PS4/PC.

Design wise it looks very similar to the current A50, which is no bad thing. Astro's headsets are pretty darn comfortable, and if it's not broke, don't fix it.

That's not to say there hasn't been some significant work done on the the headset for its latest outing. The biggest new development is Astro Audio V2, a combination of new drivers, wireless radio technology and custom sound profiles to ensure you get the very best aural experience.

The new A50 Wireless is set to ship in Summer 2019 and will cost $300 for both the Xbox/PC and PS4/PC versions.

What you need to know:
  • The A50 4th generation is making its debut at E3 ahead of a summer launch.
  • The headset and base station combo will cost $300.
  • Packs Astro Audio V2 with new drivers, wireless radio technology and custom sound profiles.
  • Support spatial audio such as Dolby Atmos.

Watched the video again. I own A50 and this is not worth it for any current owners. New owners though, definitely worth it. Having the mod kit already installed, better charging base and better mic

I have the turtle Beach elite 800 and it is super disappointing. Does stay connected if you do rest mode on PS4, weird audio feedback, weird loss of chat
