I've gotten so much value out of mine. What an amazing graphics card.My 4090 is already next-gen.
I got it like a year after launch for 1800€ (Founders Edition) and at the time it was obviously quite an investment but looking back it was a great deal.I've gotten so much value out of mine. What an amazing graphics card.
What possibly could have made this gen a real one for you?Just like this gen, next-gen isn't real.
Basically me. I got a Switch 2, I have my PC, and I still have PS5. I don't plan on partaking in any new hardware for a long... long time.Ima be real. WIth the way things are going, I'm gonna be PC+Nintendo for the foreseeable future. I'll run my PS5 until the wheels fall off, but current prices are not worth the occassional Sony game for a PS6.
This they will be in even more rough shape launching the ps6 next year then in covid. Especially with scalpers probably going to buy a good chunk of them and will price it even higher. It won't bode well for software sales attributed to the PS6.Talking about the next generation of consoles makes no sense; besides, if they were to launch one, it would cost $1,000, not a lower price.
If the fools at PlayStation decide to launch another console in late 2027, the only result will be the collapse of the industry and public rejection. Furthermore, sustaining a market for AAA game production would become untenable, especially in light of recent data showing a decline in console sales.
Rumors are circulating that the components for the PS6 alone cost $999, not even counting marketing and manufacturing expenses.
The Steam Machines market differs from PlayStation's; Valve targets a niche audience with its console and isn't looking to revolutionize the mass market or manufacture millions of units. PlayStation, on the other hand, has a much broader audience. Both PlayStation and Xbox rely on massive console sales, but no one would want—or be able—to buy a $1,000 console; certainly, at least 73% of users wouldn't do it.
And if they stubbornly go ahead and launch it anyway, they won't be able to sustain the development of high-cost video games. This leads to two possibilities: 1) they won't bet on AAA games—which I highly doubt and won't happen, because the idiots at PlayStation don't know how to do anything else—or 2) the generation will be prolonged, lasting six years or more.
The PS5 generation is barely getting started; it took five years just to reach this point.
I told you all back during the PS4 era that it still had a lot to offer and that the ideal move would be to launch the PS5 in 2022—and they laughed... and look... look what they're doing.
PlayStation did the stupid thing of launching it right in the middle of the pandemic, like total morons.
They're going to repeat the same history, only worse.
I personally don't, since there's so much to play right now on Series X and S2. What will be different. Kinda would want to upgrade for upgrading's sake
Kinda agree but if next-gen pushes some innovation then it's kinda bothNo. I don't wait for consoles, I wait for games.
They will be afraid to price that high. They could go for like 1200 but it would look bad for them, for their company's image. What you think?Yes I do. I want the best possible way to play games and I'm ready to pay 1K+.

As consumer preferences and the broader entertainment industry continue to shift away from physical discs to digital, physical game disc production for all new games releasing on PlayStation consoles will be discontinued starting January 2028. Following this date, new games will be available on PlayStation Store and at retailers in digital formats only. This transition has no impact on games that already released, or will be releasing, prior...

Exact same method hereNope.
I will decided if I will get a next gen console 1 or 2 years after the gen has started.
I have too much to play and I think that most games will be cross gen anyway.
How's 3090?I'm waiting for next gen before upgrading my RTX 3090. It still gets the job done and Blackwell has been out for 1.5 years already. I'll wait until RTX 60 series at this point.
Still holding up really well for me. Performance has been fine at 4K in the games I play and DLSS helps with the really demanding stuff, plus 24gb VRAM means I never even think about running out of VRAM.How's 3090?
I think 1499 for Max version os reasonable if the power level is highSure, you're right. But depending on how the price situation might develop, they just might not have any other chance than to launch at say...1.200.
Basically ultra settings and DLSS kinda solutions. Sounds very good, you are basically maxing out everything?Still holding up really well for me. Yep max settings and using DLSS when necessary. I only have a 60 hz monitor though so no high refresh rate gaming.Basically ultra settings and DLSS kinda solutions. Sounds very good, you are basically maxing out everything?
