Enjoyed the first few episodes of Kill Blue even though/a/ told me it was shit but now its turned into a stupid version of Revolutionary Girl Utena I don't know how to feel.

I must be one of the few anime fans who has never had the slightest interest in One Piece.

I didn't either due to the artstyle of the characters

I ended up reading the manga for the first time two years ago and I couldn't put it down. Yes the characters look weird but the plot and lore is fantastic. Not to mention the setting itself is very imaginative and unique. I love it when Oda shows a new island and it usually comes with double spreads showing a massive amount of detail to each island setting. I'm not looking to convince you to read/watch One Piece but after getting all caught up on the manga, I get why people love One Piece so much. When it comes to Shounen, I'm extremely picky. Lot of the recent ones haven't really grabbed me as much as One Piece did.

I watched jujutsu kaisen seasons so far. Not sure how i feel about it. I mean I even binged it during second season so I can't say it was bad. But idk feels like it was mostly just fights and shit ton of exposition. Usually in stories you can sort of guess where things might develop over time but here new things are constantly added and characters pop up at last second constantly, so you kind of just have turn off your brain.

It was the same for me. I was more of a Naruto & Bleach fan back when they were the big 3. I watched a bit of the anime and dropped it initially then I give it another go but with the manga and I was immediately hooked, I think I binge read a few hundred chapters over a few days it was surreal.

I read the manga and the story is bad and almost non-existent at later parts. It's only there for the fights. And some of the fights have bullshit powers that make 0 sense. The lore sucks, the universe sucks. Yet, people continued watching/reading it because S1-S2 arcs were kinda good.

There's also one big moment in the manga that happens and the characters proceed and react as if nothing had happened which was like WTF.

The problem with Jujutsu is that it does not have that classic adventure feel and epic story setup that earlier shounen used to have. How do I say this better? It lacks the heart that would make it resonate with more people who are not there just for the fights. And the characters are not developed enough.

That's just my opinion. For others, it may be the best shit ever.

I'm a Narutard too so back when the anime was airing I would watch it religiously until I started to get tired of the filler and started reading the manga. This was before Naruto Shippuden started to air. It's one of the first manga I ever read. As for Bleach, I did like it but not as much as Naruto. But One Piece runs circles over Naruto and Bleach. It kind of helps that Oda isn't sick of drawing and writing One Piece. I love the second part of Naruto but I could tell that Kishimoto wasn't as into the manga as he was in the first part

When it comes to the characters in One Piece, they might have weird ass designs but they all go through some fantastic character development and actually have a lot of depth to their personlities. I especially love it when Oda goes into the backstories for each, Robin backstory was particularly sad

Man once One Piece Manga officially ends, it's gonna to be something. I hope he's able to answer most of the lingering threads. Because when it comes to manga, the setting/lore is as dense as Berserk and Made In Abyss

a special short animation for Gundam's 50th birthday. that video hit me right in the feels because I do feel just like he did when I was at the Yokohama Gundam base before it was closed down.

The latest One Piece and Dandadan chapters are really good

I got a new favorite in Shuri and I also ship her with Brook. I'm really liking the look into Brooks Past. Again Oda is on point when it comes to the story and characters. Especially love how detailed his art is. Can't wait for next chapter

I'm really enjoying the latest story arc of Dandadan, there hasn't been bad story arc in the manga yet. I'm really liked the decision where Momo hasn't fully fallen in love with Okarun yet, I bet once she hears his real name in full, that's when she will remember fully. I find it funny how they both try to make each other jealous by going on "dates" with someone else. Momo going on a date with Jiji and Okarun going on a date with Aira at the aquarium and them acting like it's no big deal seeing each other at the same place with a different person was funny to watch. I'm really enjoying the double spreads in this manga too. The art is still fantastic. Also I like how before Momo and Okarun decided to make each other jealous, Momo thought that Aira and Okarun were an item, even calling her pretty. Vamola being a Okuran/Momo shipper is funny as hell due to her being the first girl to kiss Okuran. The story itself is getting really good and I'm very curious what Dandadan really is.

It feels like there has been more breaks for op, good that Oda is getting more rest

A little over halfway thru the season.
These were the spring season animes I ended up sticking with:

The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King
Re;Zero
Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!?
I Want to End This Love Game
Haibara's Teenage New Game+
Kusunoki's Garden of Gods
Liar Game
Eren the Southpaw

Alright, cliche question to ask but what are ya'lls must watch anime?
I've only seen DBZ/GT and One Punch Man and am currently watching the OG Avatar.
I've heard that I should watch Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen.

Cowboy Bebop (The English dub is good, but the Japanese cast has Koichi Yamadera, one of the GOAT, so I recommend watching it in Japanese)
Kepp Your Hands off Eizouken! (It's a show about a bunch of high school girls who want to make anime. From the Tatami Galaxy guy)
Serial Experiments Lain (Near future sort of cyberpunk from the late 90s. You can tell that this one probably had a low budget, but the creators used minimalism to their advantage. It might be a bit offputting at first, but I recommend sticking with it)
Paradise Kiss (A show about a bunch of high schoolers competing in a fashion show, and romance. Adapted from the awesome manga by Ai Yazawa)
Diamond No Ace (The ultimate baseball anime. A team of high schoolers at a baseball high school trying to get to nationals at Koshien)
Sailor Moon (Classic, obviously. Definitely watch in Japanese)
Ghost In the Shell Stand Alone Complex (Probably the best anime I've ever seen. THE cyberpunk anime.)
Mobile Suit Gundam (From 1979, it's really good. Classic art and sounds. I feel like you can tell that this was written by people who'd lived through WWII)
The Wind Rises (This is a Ghibli film. It's historical fiction based on the life of the creator of the Zero airplane in WWII)
Black Lagoon (Stylish underworld crime action. Highly recommend, maybe the most pure fun show on this list. Make sure to watch in Japanese. Has Kiryu's voice actor in one episode, and there's a Guitar Wolf song)

I actually read a lot more manga than I watch anime, so if you ever want recommendations for that, I can give you a lot more :]

Demon slayer, Castle in the sky, Porco Rosso, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, castle of cagliostro, spy x family, cowboy beebop.

If you like dragon ball, dragon ball daima is good.

I appreciate the extensive list. I've read some comics this year, but haven't started with mangas (yet?). Not sure where to start tbh lol.

Thanks!
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Seen this come up often, will go on the list.
