another upcoming show to keep an eye on. side note, with all all the shows they got going on, is Science Saru going to be able to maintain the quality on all of them?

Finally going to give JoJos a shot. Should I start at exactly season 1 or can I enter steel ball run with no issue?

Start from part 1.
By the time you catch up, maybe Steel Ball Run will have finished.

Netflix kind of making a mess of things, we don't even know when Steel Ball Run ep2 will release.

SBR schedule is theorised to be irregular. To be honest I don't mind but if you're gonna cry about it the manga is right there.

I have waited 14 years for this and I don't want it to end up like Stone Ocean. I'm good with that.

last frieren episode of the season ended nicely.
it doesn't need to be, since the episodes are movie quality anyway, but a full blown Golden Land arc with the budget of a movie like the demon slayer movies would be crazy

Magic Knight Rayearth in the year of our Lord 2026? talk about a blast from the past. can't wait.

and Tanya second season makes this July a busy season for me.

Finally got around to watching JoJo. Finished part 1 thought it was good, currently on part 2 right now I think I am liking 2 more than 1 just because it expands upon the world setup on the first. Will comment again to see where I am at next time!

what were your favorite lines/moments in part 1

The last episode of Sentenced to Be a Hero S1 was really good, but the final plot twist was predictable as fuck.

If you want to get all the references and callbacks to the previous parts watch from S1. Beware that part 1 kinda sucks and it is truly bizarre, but after about 10 episodes part 2 starts which is considered great. Steel Ball Run takes place in entirely new alternate universe. But Netflix fucked SBR release schedule and the next episode could be delayed even until Winter. It will take really long to wait for SBR anime to finish instead of reading the manga.

Just got done with Part 2. Caesar Zeppeli is freaking awesome! Although I didn't like Joseph initially he turned out to be one of my favorites so far. Kars! What a finale. Onto part 3!

"and then he just stopped thinking" is such a cold ending for a villain ever

I think this is probably my fave song from an anime ever :]. It's a cover, but lots of them use licensed music so whatever

so that puts it ahead of uh :pie_thinking:, Tank (Cowboy Bebop), Inner Universe (GitS Stand Alone Complex), Itsumo Nando Demo (Spirited Away), Making of Cyborg (GitS), Lonely In Gorgeous (Paradise Kiss), Hunting For Your Dream (Hunter x Hunter), and Moonlight Densetsu (Sailor Moon) which are also all great.

Daemons of the Shadow Realm's first episode came out today and it is a banger.

There's like five moments in it that made me go "WTF", awesome start.

Didn't care for Arakawa's new series when I read it a few years ago when it first came out. First episode was okay, expected better considering who the director is but it was aight.

EDIT: Watched Akane Banashi. Liked it more but I also like the manga too.

looking forward to more Daemons of the Shadow Realm (I still hate that translation for the name but whatever). I've read the manga so I already know what happens next, but they had done a great job animating it and I know the story will get to some great places, so I'm there for it.

and Witch Hat Atelier's double episodes premiere is wonderful. they did a great job in terms of bringing that feeling of wonder of the world and it's setting to the screen. and I never thought it's possible to do Kamome Shirahama sensei's art justice in an animated show but I'm more than happy that I've been proven wrong. Bug Films did a great job keeping it faithful to the original and I can't be more happy with the result.

Just watched episode 1 of the new liar game anime, looks promising. Hope it is as good as the live action and follows the manga storyline

The premiere of Witch Hat Atelier was pretty nice.
I like the premise of the story and the art animation were top notch.

Same. I read a few volumes a it never fully clicked with me.
It's not bad, I liked some of the characters and humor. But overall the plot, world, lore and action are nowhere near as good as FMA.

in case anyone didn't know, first episode of Akane-banashi is available on Youtube if you're interested. they actually improved upon the manga original in some areas and I'm really glad the voice work is on point too. it's so important especially for this subject.

Very beautiful to look at but somewhat boring. It's not a bad thing, I do get the director intended for the viewer to make their own opinion on what the movie is about

Movie was super good, had some fantastic visuals with some great animation. I was surprised to see that there was a lot of fanservice which was just a breath of fresh air for me. The plot and characters were super good too. I didn't know there was a second part coming. I can't wait

I'm still rewatching old stuff. I'm on the Future Diary now.

Edit. Did anyone watch all you need is kill?

That's a good one. I remember reading the manga as the show was airing

I read the light novel and it's fantastic. The adaptation doesn't interest me at all

One Piece Manga Speculation

Now that Imu finally showed up and with his full form shown, I expect one of the Strawhats to die. It's either gonna to be Ussop or Zoro (Is it Zoro or Zolo?)

I wonder if we are gonna to get another flashback that goes into Imu's past. How Devil Fruits are made or if they grow on a certain tree, what the Void Century is, Imu's full powerset other than being the origin of the Devil Fruits

I also wonder if Blackbeard will show up

I'm just antsy for the next chapters due to certain mysteries having a possibility of finally being revealed
