2023 Predictions. One each for the big 3. Sony, MS, and Nintendo.


I’ll give you mine:

1.) MS shows a party title like 1V100 or Full House Poker. Looks fun and amazing. ONLY PLAYABLE ON GAMEPASS PC OR Xbox. You must subscribe in order to play.

2.) Sony shows BluePoint game. It is actually a remake/reimagining of Uncharted 1. Fully open world. Looks awesome.

3.) The Super Mario Movie introduces the Kong family (DK is next animated Nintendo movie).

In the Kong’s home…They show the Next Gen Nintendo System in animated form. As a tease.

Starfield will miss the ‘first half of 2023’ release date target.
A new hardware from Nintendo will be released this year.
TLOU Online will kick ass.

1. Microsoft -Activision deal passes. MS announces next acquisition (Sega...on a Wednesday).

2. Sony - After a successful first season of TLOU on Max/HBO, Sony and Bungie announce a Destiny series in development for Max/HBO in late 2023 for a premiere by end of 2024. Sony unveils PS5 v2 with a slight price cut and pack in (downloadable AAA from first 3 years).

3. Nintendo - Mario movie does not suck. Greenlights more film adaptations with Illumination including StarFox and Zelda.
Teaser trailer shown off (again but more than a logo) for Metroid Prime 4 with release window of 2024...likely a cross gen with Switch/Switch 2 a la BoTW on Wii U and Switch.)

BONUS: nVidia announces RTX 4090Ti for over $2k and tells gamers to go fuck themselves....they still sell out cuz enthusiasts won't show resilience and not buy them to encourage nVidia to knock this shit off.

Nintendo - much like botw, tears of the kingdom also have genre defining element particularly gameplay element that will be talked about years to come + new 2d donkey kong game announced that is set in a city like envoirment.

Sony - psvr2 have hl: alyx releasing on holiday season, creating a stock issues for a whole year.

MS: following ftc, cma also sue the activision deal, eu downright stop it w/out sueing which leads kotick resigning, spencer getting sacked. Starfield is a buggy mess at launch but redemeed a year later. Redfall will expand what grounded and SoT accomplished and will be the next big multi co op thing.
