You gotta take some graphics concession when you have hundreds of characters on screen.

Also, the particle effects and animation are way higher on the importance scale then texture quality. Omega Force does some ballin particle effects

You can import data once the "DYNASTY WARRIORS 8" disc has been verified. The disc verification can only be performed while you are signed in to PlayStation®Network and is only valid for a number of days before it must be recertified.

What is this bullshit? Is reselling DW8 such a huge concern when the other two platforms have the whole thing in one disc/cart anyway? Oh, well, since the save data seems to be transferable to any device I guess I'll pick up the Vita version, which is probably going to be the same price as the standalone expansion too.

Any hard info about res/framerate differences between PS3 and PS4? Toukiden on Vita seems to suggest that Omega Force really knows how to make their games shine on more powerful hardware.

If they were actually interested in language accuracy then the majority of characters wouldn't have spoken Mandarin anyway though.

Yes, and it looks quite a bit better. Some of the textures in the PS3 version are early PS2 level. PS4 version also seems to have wonderful depth of field effects although the time of day/lightning often seems completely different.

And will grab this on the PS4, hope it's a steady 60 FPS.

Am I the only one that thinks the lack of depth of field and the old lightning system make the ps3 version look somewhat better at points. The resolution, frame rate and better texture overall look better, but everything new doesn't feel like an improvement is what I'm saying.

That's true, to be precise , regarding just characters from a DW2/3 stand point.

DW7 added an entirely new faction Jin (later years of Wei) that faction is still in DW8.
