My wife wants a boob job. I've got mixed feelings.

I'd try to talk her out of it unless you want to spend another $10,000 on them 10 years from now.
My ex had them and close to her ten year mark they started to hurt her. They weren't triple D Pornstar size or anything, either. Went to a doctor and he said it was normal to have them "replaced" every decade :/ He basically told us that life, running/walking, squeezing them, fucking them causes a natural degradation.
I didn't have $10,000 to get her new ones, she didn't either, I wanted to get the fake ones pulled out (she was beautiful in every other way and didnt need them imo) so she wouldn't be in pain and we wouldn't eat another $10,000 bill in the future but she grew attached to how she looked with them so that wasn't an option.
So, definitely talk to someone else who's had them for awhile. Ten years or more and see what they say and if they regret it.
 
I can't advise you on what to do, to be honest, because it's completely up to your wife, and you supporting her in her decision. But if you have reservations, at least let her know how you feel, and what bothers you about it.

My own personal view:

I hate fake boobs. I've felt all manner of fake boobs, from frighteningly hard, to amazingly soft and natural, but to be honest, I just love natural boobs, big or small, perky or with that awesome teardrop shape.

My wife was a B cup when we first got together, she's a large D cup now, and will sometimes reach DD during certain times of the month. I honestly can't say I miss the perkier B cups. But then again, I absolutely love big boobs. She doesn't like them very much, and she's currently fearing how large they'll get when she gets pregnant.

Make sure you get a nice Jewish surgeon with a knack for breasts. Depending on the budget, this is one thing you shouldn't cheap out on. Research the doctor, get references and have your wife feel a variety of augmented breasts. Most importantly, support her on this venture to enlarge her breasts. It's a lot more psychological than physical. Also, if I recall correctly it's not recommended to breast feed after this surgery. Obviously don't know if you're going to have more kids or not. Enfamil is good though.
 
You should look into those stem cell breast implants. My wife has said she wants that a few times but she's not terribly serious. Plus they're expensive, last I recall.
They don't give you a mammoth pair of knockers. You get maybe half a cup size up.
But at least you aren't sticking unnatural material in her body that way.

It apparently works but they don't do it in America because Republicans. You'll have to go to Toronto or someplace in Canada.

I am in no way an expert. But have you considered birth control? I've known girls that experience "natural" breast growth as a result. Way cheaper than surgery
 
As long as she knows it's a fairly painful processs and that there's always going to be risks with these kind of procedures, then I say let her do it.

Oh, I would make myself clear what I would or would not accept before marriage, and discuss those things with my partner, and learn to respect similar opinions from her. Like if I suddenly wanted to cover my face in tattoos and she objected, and told me she would leave me, I would weigh that consequence before deciding what to do with my own body, and I would not begrudge her.

The upkeep on boobs is what would turn me off.

Don't you have to pretty much continue surgeries around every 5 years or something like that? Or is that face work..? Whatever that % is, make sure you let her know.

Which begs the following questions: How long should I expect these breast implants to last? And do you really get what you pay for?

As a general rule, breast implants do not require regularly scheduled maintenance, but you should expect that they will need to be replaced after a certain number of years. There are a number of things that may occur to require implant replacement.

You should have an MRI every 5 years, but that's pretty standard. Re-surgeries are not uncommon, but the norm is to not have them. That said, she's only in her 20's, so I wouldn't be surprised if she has to go back in 20 years and get them 'redone'.

Also, since she's rather small now, I'd caution against going too big. That's one of the most common mistakes that lead to bad jobs. If there isn't enough natural skin and flesh there to house the implant, then there's a strong possibility of the new boobs looking terrible.


To the OP, has your wife done a 'trial run'? Go to Victoria's Secret, they have a bra called the miracle or something like that that supposedly adds two cup sizes. It's overly padded and feels strange, but she can wear it as a daily bra and decide if she likes the look (and any reactions).

Yes, but her comparison to her sisters part of the problem, since all three are hanging out with each other all day during this vacation, and my wife feels like a little girl next to them.

So she's feeling very little girlish. I understand what she's feeling, so I'll support her if she makes the ultimate decision to get it, but during this process of decision-making, I'm just trying to provide her with the best info I can find.
 
A girl I dated got a boob job after we split up. We stayed friends and she let me see and feel them. I was extremely impressed. If done well and for the right reasons, there's no reason she shouldn't get them done.
