Conan is no longer on Australian tv which sucks, the current rights deal was not renewed. So i have to wait for cable tv to see if they will pony up the $$$$ to get Conan back on the air over here.

I listened to the Dino episode several years ago and I don't remember him saying that. Did he do another one? If not I might have to go back and re-listen, I'm curious about that comment.

They start talking about it at the 57 minute mark, but Dino made the comment around 58:20.
 
I was listening to Conan on Jeff Garlin's podcast and he was talking about how he has to survey the audience demographics, the weather, what news happened that day, etc and tailor his material around it. He goes through many variables to try and get the audience into the show and i'm sure most of his audience members are tourists.

Not saying that's bad or good but there is a method to his madness.

And that's fine. I kind of knew this would happen once he moved up timeslots. It's just a shame since I would watch him every night in high school just to see all the weird shit that they'd do. Now days I only catch him occasionally, and it's usually pretty broad. Not bad, but as Dino said, he's getting to many laughs.

Haha that's not at all what I got from that.

He said that every once in a while he has a perfect show, and that's when all these variables line up for him. And those are the shows that make him get out of bed in the morning.

Yeah, apparently it changed distributers or something and is no longer is GO's package :/
Looks like I have to find a good region unblocker for the Team Coco site

Im not a fan of conan he has some good stuff but most of the time its not my cup of tea, I like jimmy kimmel and Jimmie fallon more

I think Lyft probably paid for this promo, so nothing will come out of it.

And secondly, no real alcohol was shown. First it was blurred and then it was in a paper brown bag. Can't really prove they were drinking an open container or alcohol (could be a large Monster can).

Kevin's paper bag gag really paid off for them then, I guess!

Man, such a good skit. Posted it over in AusGAF, sucks that we're not getting any Conan at all anymore. Wonder if that means soon we'll be able to stream it without shitty region-locking shit?
 
I love that Conan's been doing remotes a lot as of recent. I hope it's a trend that continues!

Both the driving one and the ad audition one were hilarious
 
That audition video is actually one of my fav Conan skits in a long time. It's pure Conan. He's not even doing his wiseass-schtick (which although is funny) and making fun of everybody, it's just fun improv with legit laughs.

Most news stations are connected to wire services that constantly give out stories, like the Associated Press or Reuters. So what happens is a story will come down the wire, and every local news station will decide to put that story into their newscast. And because the producers are lazy, or overworked, or don't have enough time, what happens is most of them just copy/paste the pertinent info into their script. So you end up with every news station saying the exact same stuff. It's always for this kind of non-story stuff too. Scientific surveys, video game studies, how many presents people by themselves, etc.

You know, I noticed him in a skit a few episodes before that also. I wonder if he's back, or they're contracting him as an actor every now and then, haha.

I know McCann was head writer for Nikki & Sara Live on MTV for awhile but that was cancelled in November.
