Let's talk fast food.

love the shamrock shake, it should be available year-round, those bastards.

biggest problem with mcdonalds: the ice cream machines go down a lot and/or they sell out of the flavor you want (aka shamrock) at rates so high that i often don't even think to get ice cream because in my brain i assume it's not available.

their new premium wraps are a nice option, i've tried the grilled one with bacon. the taste was fine but i feel the amount of filling you get for the price is bullshit. amazes me how expensive mcdoanlds is for the amount of food you get... it's no wonder most people just order a mcdouble or mcchicken... those are a steal for $1 each.

and so that remains my second big problem i have: you can get the $1 mcdouble or the $4 whatever-burger/chicken thing but the $4 item is nowhere near 4x the food, more like 2x at most. I understand it's not a 1:1 in terms of volume per dollar on every item but still. how about some more middle-ground options?

anyone else hate how mcdonalds and other fast food places use TINY AS FUCK MENUS on the wall (obviously with the worst offenders being the value portion of the menu)... there should be a law against that kind of thing. Menus should be large enough to be readable by the majority of the public. if I have a hard time reading it I KNOW most seniors can't.

I share those same problems. "Let's see, I can get an Angus Bacon burger...or for the same money I can get 2 Spicy McChicken sandwiches, 2 cheeseburgers, and make them fuck each other to my tongues content." Unless I'm in the mood for a higher grade of beef, I usually go for the former. I'm a gluttonous pig and those Spicy McChicken sandwiches are bomb.

As for the menu problem, when I can't even find Fries or McNuggets on your menu, it's time to rethink the font sizes and layout for your menu.

Went to a Five Guys for the first time in a while yesterday and apparently they have a small size fries on the menu now? When did that happen?

Not exactly fast food, but I went to a Golden Corral for the first time today because I was feeling lazy... too much crap at work this week lol. As far as buffets go, it was fairly decent for the dinner price (~$10 per adult). Considering that there aren't a lot of other [American-cuisine] buffets around my area, I guess it's not that surprising that it was quite packed and mostly families with kids. Waiters and waitresses there seemed overworked as hell though, but they were nice.

Went to a Sonic for the first time. Interesting setup, but I didn't bother doing the drive-in because the machine just looked like a pain to use, so I only did the drive-through (which still had waiters come out to deliver the food and take payment). No rollerskates, but I can understand that this is an era where that would not be a good idea. I guess the slushies are what makes them unique as a fast food chain, and I thought it was pretty cool being able to order your own mix of flavors. It was too sweet though, but otherwise good for the summer weather. The pretzel bun hotdog was not bad either.

I live in Oklahoma and have never seen a sonic with a drive through, only drive-in's.

Interesting, maybe that's a local thing? It was a fairly crude setup though so perhaps it was not originally there; they don't have a drive-through window, just the menu sign and speaker for taking orders.

The machines are super simple.

Just click the big red button. Make your order. Swipe your card.

Already anticipating the Whataburger I'm gonna get for lunch tomorrow. Going to go with the Patty Melt instead of the usual Honey BBQ Chicken Strip sammich...

I live in OK too and the bigger cities I go to have some Sonics with drive thru windows and spots to park and order.

Tried my first cherry lime slush a week or so ago at Sonic, it was quite refreshing and good, couldn't believe there was one 3 miles from my house. I kind of want to try their Texas toast sandwiches.

Got a Raising Canes in the mall, tried it on 2 separate occasions, the first time was really good but the second time was kind of lacking. Don't get me wrong, the dipping sauce and juicy yet crispy chicken fingers were amazing but for $8.00 (also got crinkle cut fries that were meh and Texas toast), that buying that second time just put me off .

I wish Chick Fil A was open on Sundays.

Had the new deluxe habanero burger at McD's today. I was excited to try it bur it was pretty bland, overall. It could've used a big more kick if you ask me.

Sonics popcorn chicken is pretty tasty too, but tons of calories

I've never had Sonic. I think there is only one in the whole of central Iowa and it's in the next town over. Is it worth the trip?

Whataburger and Raising Cane's for best chicken fingers.

Whataburger for best everything.

Breakfast Taquitos are amazing.

And these...my god...

These four sandwiches are essentially edible happiness.

I still have yet to have breakfast Whataburgee. Might try it tonight so I work overnight. The Monterrey Melt they had two months ago was really good.

McDs and Chick Fil A have really great breakfast. Taco Buenos used to be good when they had Chorizo substitute. They just took queso off the breakfast menu too. Im waiting for Taco Bells breakfast to come here.

The Sonic I go to most often has a drive through. South Meridian just North of the airport in OKC. Great sonic, never had an incorrect order there and the hops RUN to your car.

The day that Whataburger made the "all-time favorites" permanent was a great day. All those sandwiches are amazing.

Sausage BoB (Breakfast on a Bun), Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, Taquitos, Whataburger Breakfast is so damn good.

Went to Sonic again this weekend, and my hop was on rollerblades! Pretty cool.

Nothing beats the heat like their slushies... this won't become a habit. :(

Had some Hardees last night. I ended up getting a 1/3 lb Jim bean BBQ burger and a side of beer battered onion rings.. I felt miserable afterwards but man it was sooo good!

How is Red Robin?

One is opening up here soon. I had never seen one before though I have heard plenty of their commercials during Cubs broadcasts.

The one "near" where I live, the prices are good, especially because of the free refills of drinks and fries (sit-in with take-out option styled restaurant). I had nothing to complain about their burgers. It's a crime that the place is double the distance from my home as Five Guys! >:(

Swung by wendy's to try the pretzel bacon cheesburger yesterday on my way to work. I was pretty hung over so I was very excited for it's holy greasiness. Hop on the highway, hit cruise at 65 mph, unwrap the burger....a fucking shitty ass single with cheese! The rage I felt.

I tried out a Qdobas for the first time today, I was mighty impressed. Had the grilled.chicken quesadilla, just floored me that it was fast food.

Not as good as Fuddruckers.

I want to like Red Robin since their ingredients seem fresh and good quality, but every time I get a burger there it's just bland and underwhelming.

Very Sorianoesque. You overpay for little substance. In the end you will feel full but will know its cheap lies

Looks so good though! Disappointing

I like Chipoltle and Moes better in that department but they are all good

has Sonics for my first time last week

was very disappointed

bad bros

I think they are decent

I've recently discovered the cheesy gordita crunch from Taco Bell. It's so good.

Their new steak quesadilla is pretty good too!

Cheesy Gordita Crunch is god tier and so expensive. I really want to try that quesadilla

That Wendy's pretzel bacon burger....so good

Well now I don't know what to think

Red Robin and Fuddruckers are great burger joints for me, but I give the edge to Red Robin for the unlimited garlic fries + ranch. Fuddruckers frings (fries n o.rings) are also pretty good.

I went to Burger King this morning, asked for two Sausage, Egg and Cheese Muffins and a large hashbrown. This dude thought I said "croissant" so I repeated the order again.

I got to the window, dude handed me the bag with the food in it. I'm thinking that, this bag is way too small, so I checked it before driving off. Dude already knew what was missing when I took a look in the bag, he looked so disappointed in himself that I told him not to worry about it.

The new BK breakfast items are universally disgusting. Their muffin sandwiches aren't even as good as the frozen Weight Watchers ones.

Their sausage biscuits are ok, as are the french toast sticks. I've never cared for the croissanwiches, too greasy, but I can see why some people like them.

The new shit is just vile. I have no idea what they were thinking.

Sonic is VERY hit or miss. 9 of 10 times the burgers suck, the breakfast burritos, chicken toaster sandwiches and hotdogs are almost always spot on. The drinks are really good too.

Red Robin is like an Applebee's for burgers and sandwiches. Pretty damn good.

I hate Whataburger. I have tried it in several states, and it always ends up a smashed ass pile that looks horrid and tastes terrible.

I would kill for an In-N-Out in the Midwest. Steak N' Shake nearby would make me very happy as well. Those two are by far the best fast food burgers I have ever had. Well, 5 Guys would make that a holy trinity.

McDonald's new Quarter Pounder burgers that replaced the Angus burgers are pretty good and the Carolina BBQ Whopper at Burger King is sublime.

The Volcano menu at Taco Bell is gone.

RIP :'(

I haven't seen that for quite a while. Our Taco Bells have overhauled the menus for the Live Mas/Shredded chicken promos and pretty much just raised prices across the board. I hate to break it to them, but cheap Taco Bell is best Taco Bell. They can't compete with the Chipotle/Qdobas of the world by raising prices and adding white rice to burritos.
