Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | March 2013 | Carving an Independent niche

So, I'm reaching here, but:

Tribute Games posted an update about their Mercenary Kings Kickstarter. Several factors may indicate a Vita port:

This would be a must for a portable version.

3. Their previous game Wizorb is already a PSP Mini.

Would be a great fit I think.

Hopefully, that game looks awesome! Definitely going to be following it from now on. Look at these sprites:

Hnnggghh

I just received my new 32GB card.

2 questions:

1) In order to move everything I have on my old 16GB to this new 32, how do I proceed?

2) If I move my memory card to another Ps Vita do I bring there everything or there is something that links the memory to the system? (I'm asking this because my friend, White Ps Vita owner, would like to swap its Vita with my black one, for me np).

Thank you!

The first bit is easy, you can back it up via the Content Manager on PC, or if you have a PS3 you can back it up to there and restore it on the new card once you pop it in.

AFAIK, the account and everything is locked between the Vita and the memory card so swapping accounts can get tricky. I haven't done it myself though, I've just swapped memory cards :\

You should have already been regretting that!

It's fucking great. Every time I need to clear some space on my MC, that's the one game I know ain't going anywhere.
I might have bought it if I knew that Kat was coming to the US version of HSG soon. :/

Does anyone know how much the Kat DLC will cost?

Do you guys know if the japanese version of Dokuro (retail one) include english?
I'd like to buy the retail version instead of the DD one.
Thanks.

Big Sky Infinity got a new patch (27MB), as thanks for selling 200,000 on PSN:

2 new enemies – Trailer and Fogger
6 new black hole enemies – Vikings, Ninjas, Zombies, Pirates, Ghosts and Chaos
4 new events – Parallel Cascade, Laser Levels, Portals and Minefield

Also on sale this week in NA.

Seriously? You would buy the game for one character? I couldn't give a shit about the characters, more courses are more than welcome though.

Any ideas how much the DLC costs ?

I'm jealous of all you guys talking about buying games from the sales; I won't be able to buy anything until the end of the month ;_;

At least I know I'll be getting Soul Sacrifice day 1 next month!

Has anybody gotten their $20 PSN credit from the referral program yet?

If it helps i banned myself from buying anything till end of month too after repaying credit card for january/February spendings.

I will buy the Vita in the future just for Rayman Origins, just like I bought the PSP just for MGS Peace Walker - even though I would eventually buy many others. Man, I'm crazy!

I'm not buying anything from this current sale. There's nothing i want :/

Really want NG:S+ for EU PS+ think I'm going to pick up SF X T how is It?

Port wise I'm really impressed with SF X T. Getting all the characters (including console DLC characters) is nice and the controls worked really well for me (D Pad is great for moves, touch screen worked surprisingly well for 3 punch/3 kick moves). My only potential complaint was that its still somewhat light on single player content - you only get single player story modes (all character teams get a story, unique dialogue and an ending) Trials mode and a challenge mode as well as Vs and practice modes as standard.
Online mode was fairly decent with me, a few laggy matches but quite a few worked really well and the cross play with PS3 users actually worked far better than I expected.

Its a great little portable fighter, I personally prefer Ultimate MvC3 and the amount of content Mortal Kombat got but that's just me.

why are you waiting? join the fun already, you are missing out on a ton. this machine is work of beauty and is a beast.

once the $20PSN comes in.. P4G

Picked up Smart As in the recent sales and I'm enjoying it so far.

I'd love to have some more VitaGAFfers in my friends list though for Near challenges. So for anyone up for that, feel free to send me an invite. PSN id is Omlagus, same as here. Just say your a fellow vitamuffin in the invite.

Is that 200 000 sales not counting all the PS+ free downloads (from EU, I'm not sure it was on Plus in America?)? If so, that's pretty impressive and a bit surprising. (Personally I could never get into the game)

3 new bosses – Giant Crab Boss
A Playstation classic! :D

It's not like HSG didn't interest me before. The Kat DLC is just the final push.

SEGA's gouging interest in a Western release of Project Diva F..but only the PS3 version. Figure leaving comments requesting the Vita version might help? Or either way if the PS3 version comes over, perhaps we'll see the sequel if it comes out on Vita first.

I don't understand why game companies wouldn't localize a Vita version of the game if they're already localizing PS3 version (One Piece Pirate Warriors 2). It's especially baffling in the case of Project Diva F since the PS3 version is supposed to have more content than the Vita version.

Really wish they would consider the Vita version :(

Edit: They might just do both, if enough fans demand it? That would be the ideal scenario..

Especially since the Vita version was playable at last year's E3!

Maybe they're being coy to keep the 'Vita Complete Edition' (containing all of the DLC and PS3 content) worldwide re-release under wraps? /false hope

That's my situation as well lol. Didn't even get to take advantage of the PS+ special. At least I'll get some funds to spend in April when I get stuff later this month :D

Well, as per my usual practice in the past, I always wait for the revision - even though the Vita looks sleek and sexy. I bought the PSP Slim Lite 3000 so maybe Vita will have a revision too with some good benefits?

Also, this probably sounds wacky, but I mostly buy gaming stuff with only Amazon vouchers that I save up on, and I haven't got many yet :p

Holy fuck if someone would've told me about this sooner I'd have Kickstarted the hell out of it!

A Metal Slug with a Monster Hunter crafting/gathering system from the guys who made the awesome Scott Pilgrim game!? That's the best thing.

Hopefully they do make a Vita port... I really hope they don't just mean it's gonna be on iOS or 3DS. :( I want it to be PS3/Vita cross-buy.

Them "gouging" interest out of people sounds like it would be really, really painful.

I have to make that mistake every time I try to use that word. :( gauging

Having tried both the Vita and the PS3 versions, the Vita version seems far nicer to play. I don't know what it is. Perhaps it's that the area of play is much smaller on the Vita's screen than of a TV, making it a constant effort to look at where the notes end up? (Apart from the much preferred analog controls for the slide notes) Feels snappier with the Vita's controls as well. Fingers crossed for Vita localization..

Finally, we get the update we've been waiting for:

3 New Courses - Mt. Sakura Country Club, Mar Cielo Golf Course, Northern Fox Country Club

3 New Characters - Erika (Intermediate), Gloria (Expert - From OOB), Kat (Expert)

Plus numerous other changes including new on-line modes and game-play tweaks.

Still waiting for this to get updated on PSN, as the courses and characters are DLC... but the game itself now has all the place holders visible.

Well then, HSG will replace Disgaea 3 in my card slot.

Awesome. I played the hell out of this when I first got it (with Plus), was surprised by just how much fun I had with the game. Patch seems to have a hefty amount of content included, will surely drag me back in.

Hopefully the urban trials sales means we'll get some DLC in the form of more challenging courses... What's there now in the base game is far too easy.
