Look at that EW cover again. Lindsay is sitting on him.

Definitely watch it again. You'll pick up references to stuff that doesn't payoff until a year or two later(like Buster's hand).

The show is like an onion. Start peeling. :)

Yeah, I just rewatched the series for like the fourth time and when Buster gets his hand chair back, he says "I never thought I would miss a hand so much." That was the first time I caught that line. I love how everything is foreshadowed.

Portia and Ellen also chatted about “Arrested Development.” FOX canceled the sitcom in 2006, but Netflix brought it back to life in 2011 by purchasing its rights. Filming has already begun and will continue through December. Portia explained that all new episodes would release as a block and be available exclusively on Netflix in April 2013. “The entire cast is back together and it’s like no time has passed at all,” Portia told Ellen on Tuesday. “Everyone is the same on and off camera. It’s kind of amazing.”

So...April 2013?

I'm so glad I only started watching this recently, with only 6 months to go before it returns. Watching the final episode 6 years ago knowing that's it, man I'd have been devastated.

News roundup for a couple of things over the last month or so, since this thread's gotten quiet lately:

As posted above, Michael Cera will be a writer on the show in the new season, and Lupe is returning

Well what do you know, the AD Documentary guys pop up with another last trailer after a several year hiatus, convenient timing

Garcelle Beauvais from Franklin and Bash looks to be gearing up for an appearance in the new season

EDIT: Forgot one. Maria Bamford will play a recurring character this season

And some interviews:
Q&A with Alia Shawkat
A nice and meaty interview with Tony Hale
And some bits from Tommy Tutone, who will be directing several episodes in the coming season

Clark and Michael was pretty funny, but I'll keep my hype to a minimum.
My hype is through the roof, it is too late for me.
I have prematurely shot my wad on what was supposed to be a dry run if you will, so I'm afraid I have something of a mess on my hands.

So apparently John Beard, the newscaster that was used for all the random local news stuff, did some filming for the new season. I wonder if Trisha Thoon will make an appearance as well?

ETA: Just read that Beard was no longer working in the LA market, so they flew him in from Buffalo for a day to film his stuff. That's awesome.

At this point I feel like anyone who ever had any screen time at all in the original seasons will be in this thing. They'll recruit every extra to be extras again.

I'll be honest, it feels crowded. :[
With every actor confirmation that pops up I get a little more nervous.

What a strange thing to be nervous about.

Any AD fan will know the show is built around callbacks, in-jokes, foreshadowing, etc, so all the returning bit-part characters are important for the revival.
