It is not BF3@1080/60fps Ultra high, but it looks very good for a console game.

It looks damned good for a console game, both in raw graphical power and art direction. The recent Halo games have always felt hit and miss visually. Halo 4 seems to amend this issue.

Because I find it hilariously dumb that a computer AI needs to be all sexed up with side and underboob. Makes me think of all that scary "Chief and Cortana" fanfic that I know exists. Might as well have just gone the extra mile and given her fox ears and a tail.

Yes, it could. IQ is near PC quality than console quality there.
There should be a ban rollout soon. I remember the Forza 3 one. Was hilarious.

Aren't they using the theater mode for the cutscenes in halo 4. I thought that's how they've injected all that motion blur, depth of field, and iq gains compared to the realtime stuff. It's still rendered in realtime, but with the same kind of gains you get from a gt or forza replay, since those are also rendered in realtime.
extremely impressive. But really, valve is by the worst when it comes to using "realtime" footage to represent a game. Filmmaker is incredible, but no where near what the final game looks like. I mean look at this "in engine" trailer:

Does this surprise anyone? Of course microsoft is snooping what you're doing whether you are online or not... I do like how they can take all of your paid for DD games away from you with something like this... Just another reason to fear DD?
Really, seems to me that they should be focused on real pirates, and not just a few people who were too anxious to wait to play a new game... then again, it's probably the only REAL way they have of detecting hacked consoles that are certainly being used to pirate games on the side.

Shares one thing in common with Halo 4 anyways, it's largely the art that blows the competition out of the water, not the technical aspects which are also very strong.

Head of 343 in that article more or less just shrugged it off. While the single player portion... exists... I think it's clear that multiplayer is the main draw, just as it is in CoD and BF, and any/every other FPS.

Pretty sure they're focused on both. Focusing on one doesnt mean you can't focus on the other as well. They're both "real" pirates.
I'm at work, but looking at my youtube history, all those videos I watched have since been removed lol (good thing I have some halo videos opened in a few browser tabs back home heh) You're better off just searching yourself, sort by videos upload today, etc
There will eventually be the annual console ban like they do every year.

Yeah...no. 343 is incredibly bummed about this, however inevitable. Plus, if they were gonna do it that way why not release a file that corrupts/bricks the consoles.

What does bother me is the fact a computer AI has to have a computer interface to actually interact with a computer. How does that make any sense? Looks good I suppose and can be used as a story telling device.
The biggest issue I have is the Covenant. By now, and if this series wants to go down the 'hard sci-fi' route in the future they have to be left in the past. I mean looking at a few videos of H4 the setting and architecture look awesome, but having a gathering of characters from an Ewoks meets Muppets jamboree just breaks the immersion. Elites+Hunters maybe, the rest seem to cheapen the game/s aesthetics. The new enemies are a step in the right direction, more of that please 343.
