Lol.

Sweeeeeeeet. I feel like some Burger King.

I was just shocked to see AD trending on yahoo, awesome. I went to look and it was because of the news that Winkler has been confirmed to be returning, even more awesome!

This just gets better and better!

Please let this little experiment grow legs...

- NY Magazine: Mitch Hurwitz Talks to Vulture About Reviving Arrested Development
The long-prayed-for resurrection of Arrested Development is now under way: Filming began last month at various locations around Southern California for a new season that will premiere next spring. In his first interview since production on the series resumed, Mitch Hurwitz, responding to our e-mailed questions, was loath to reveal many specific plot details, save for a tidbit about exec producer/narrator Ron Howard appearing on-camera again ("He's reprising his role as Ron Howard," Hurwitz said. "We own the rights to Ron Howard completely. I've got $20,000 coming in from a Ron Howard pinball machine.") But while he was sparse with the spoilers, Hurwitz was candid about the emotions behind the reunion, the possibility of an even longer life for the Arrested franchise, and why this experiment may lead to even more TV revivals.

These killed me:

Also the original Segway is out of production so we had to put some old pieces on a new one. But I've always been known for my awkward segues. If you get a chance I'd love to get a picture of you as a baby.

The episodes take the audience through the experiences of the characters since the family "fell apart" and how they're brought together to deal with their new problems. I would give you a hint as to what those problems are, but, really, why rob the fans of being disappointed when they see it on Netflix.

I can only dream of being 1/10th as funny as him. My god.

They really should release these episodes weekly instead of doing it all at once. I may hate myself for saying this every time an episode ends, but it honestly would be more enjoyable that way.

Yeah, I mean the gluttonous side of me wants them all at once, but I know deep down that it'd be better to get them week by week. Maybe Hurwitz'll end up going that way.

It's funny because it's just to save us from ourselves. We're like dogs with a giant bag of dog food.

If they put them all up at once, I will watch them all.

We could always do self-imposed weeklies for GAF

You act as if we'll be able to resist. I laugh at your poor judgement.

Edit: Also, I don't know if this was confirmed before but for anyone who was still wondering, they haven't changed the "one episode focuses on one character" episode set up. From the interview:

Because of the nature of the new series — it's almost an anthology version of the show with each episode focusing on a particular character and where they've been since the family fell apart six years ago — we didn't really have many of our principal characters together until the twelfth or thirteenth day of shooting.

...Are these still self-contained episodes focusing on one character each, or is it more like the original show's season-long arcs.
Each episode is about a character — but we'll see them in each other's shows.

Is there a list of guest stars who aren't coming back, or haven't been announced that they are coming back?

Not that I know of. Last I heard Steve Holt wasn't coming back, but I don't know if that has changed.

So far we know for sure that Kitty, Barry Zuckercorn, Bob Loblaw, and Lucille 2 will be back. Possibly Carl Weathers as well.

As far as recurring characters go, the following haven't been confirmed, off the top of my head:

Steve Holt
Annyong
Carl Weathers
Sitwells
Wayne Jarvis
Bland

Then there's a bunch of memorable characters who only appeared in 1-2 episodes, like Gene Parmesan and Ice.

Steve's was pretty much confirmed to be not in it last time I checked, since the actor was trying to run a campaign to himself on the show or something

One bad thing about the show was the lack of contact between some people.

I want to see everyone interacting with everyone and not just the usuals like GOB and Buster. What about Buster and Maeby? Lucille and George Michael? Tobias and Buster?

A few more:

Ann Veal
Marta
Lupe

I'm seriously anticipating some sort of surprise cameo on the show. No way they wouldn't let Steve Holt come back (unless the actor has recently got himself into a heap of trouble).

Hope they pull off the one episode for each character thing because that really diminishes my hype still.

I hope he randomly appears in the background, campaigning for some political office with a bunch of people wearing "Volt for Steve Holt" t-shirts.

Or I'd love to see "Save Steve Holt" scribbles pop up in random places around town in the show, in a "Save Ferris" sort of way. Maybe he contracted BS.

Just as ways to acknowledge the campaign.

Seeing how many people are just catching that is making me realize that not everyone constantly watched Happy Days reruns as a child. Big ups, nick@nite.

Nice to see Lucille 2 is back. Aside from Steve Holt and Annyoung I think they've gotten pretty much everyone important back. Although Sitwell now owns the Bluth Company (and Lindsay), so it would be odd not seeing him back.

Yeah, I caught it since I watched Happy Days every night as a kid on Nick at Night and TV Land, but to not know he was the Fonz would change so many little things when watching Barry.
