For every hint I put up, there's a hundred that dig it and a hundred that hate it. I don't let the haters sway me from not putting up stuff, but I'm giving time between hints for a reason.

Sony conf starts Tuesday, would Superbot be ok with it if you posted a hint the day before? They allowed you to do that for previous events.

I know T-Rex and Polygonal Man are the top picks for last boss, but my brother and I, having both grown up playing tons of Playstation games, tried to think of other contenders.
Nothing comes to mind more than Neo Cortex, sadly, but we thought of some other "villains" who'd make great bosses.
The Dark Genie from Dark Cloud is fat, which helps put more fat characters in the game (besides Fat Princess and Murray), and also looks like someone you'd want to punch. It helps that hes an ancient and unspeakable evil, which absolves him of needing any kind of deep motivation.
His name is Stan, he's a cursed shadow, and he's from an obscure, one-shot JRPG. Even if it wouldn't make sense for him to be the last boss, he'd have a unique fighting style, and make a great unlockable character. Wouldn't you want to play as Stan? Of course you would.

The guy on the cover could show up as a boss seeking vengeance for letting him get crushed so many times and then forgotten as an IP. All of his attacks would include getting crushed by cubes.

Well, she is probably from one of YOUR most hated final fantasy games, right? I am sorry to inform that she has the charisma, the design appeal and is CURRENTLY the FACE of final fantasy, and people have to learn to DEAL. And its not a sudden interest as she has been one of the most emblematic personalities of the gaming world lately to have an impact WORLDWIDE as seen in the success of FFXIII on the east AND west. Even if you think she is not apt to be in this game, you have to learn that she is a good character for sony/superbot as she is a badass goddess with awesome moves and would add so much to the gameplay; to the fans of the awesome XIII/XIII-2 games, that ok, fail in some areas but are still marvelous games; and to square enix as its a good way to promote their new game to be launched soon and that will gladly bless ps3s and 360s all over the world. And please don't come with the symbolism argument, as we already know that the game will have a mix of emblematic and promotional characters, so we have to be adaptive and wish for characters that could be good additions even if they are not the most loved for playstation fans.

Technically, I'm allowed by my friend to go and put whatever I want on the game, up...right now. To the SuperBot team's members, however, I'm being careful to remain respectful of their work. Gamescom is coming soon enough and the reveals planned for that event are quite cool in my opinion.

That's understandable, it's still a couple of months away until the game is released, plenty more times for hints.
Did they have to alter any of their plans because of the leak?
Or were those characters not even schedualed for gamescon.

Heh, I'll say that if I revealed a certain new character, that roster slot would warrant a new thread in itself.
Nothing is stopping you from giving as hints for OTHER events though. Just saying.

Have you seen the improvements they've made to the game in terms of UI and SFX?

As a matter of fact, most of the game is complete, but as I mentioned in a recent article, things like the UI and SFX are in the final stages of modification and have shown improvement...yes.

Between your gif of Happy Birthday Kid and Psyduck exploding, I've had my two best laughs of the day happen back to back.
Lets see. Who are the biggest. characters in gaming? All of Sony's big guns have really been revealed really. Mario and Link are obvious no go's. Same with Master Chief. Sonic has lost his luster, and that's coming from a boyhood Sega fanboy. I doubt it's Snake with Raiden already being in, but if it was, it wouldn't be that surprising since a lot of people expected him in the first place. So I'm gonna go with GameFAQs logic here.
It's either Cloud or Sephiroth. Whenever there is a popular character contest on GameFAQs, these two make it right till the end. I don't think there is a character that I have failed to mention that come close to the popularity of these. And it would be surprising since everyone expects Square to put Lightning out there again.
That's my take on it anyway.

I think Cloud, Crash, and maybe Snake (though he wouldn't be as surprising). Could be something out of left field though.
Ape Escape has a character and stage, Locoroco has a stage. I agree with the rest though, especially that PixelJunk would make a cool stage.

the more i play this the more i think i would pay $60 for this game with a full feature set even if there were only the 6 characters here. it's just a lot of fun and i thought i wouldn't like it with the "supers only kills".

Locoroco and Ape Escape both have stages. Plus a Ape Escape character.
PixelJunk mixture in a locoroco stage is possible.
