You know, for some reason I think that Pema's yet to be born child will play a huge role in the series...

A huge role? Unless they do a time jump, I highly doubt it. I do think he/she will be born during the series. Unless something terrible happens. But its a kid show. But so was Up. But in Up Ellie didn't get that far along, I think.

Anyways... yeah.

I would imagine healers would be pretty knowledgeable about chi and stuff. But even they've stated Amon's technique was irreversible. (according to Tahno).
It wouldn't be much of a threat if regular healers could reverse it. But I think we'll learn that the Avatar isn't similarly constrained, given sufficient effort.

It's just.. I don't know. Just a hunch.

Pema is going to give birth to Amon who, in the future, uses Timebending™ to come back in time from dystopian future world and present a challenge to Korra so that she's prepared for the real Big Bad coming in season two.

As long as they don't name the baby "Hope" I'll be fine. Christ, that was the one part of
A:TLA Season 2
that made me cringe.

I thought about that and that's where my theory falls flat.

Although, it's possible he found some secret technique to doing it which means it can't he 'healed' unless the user reconnects with their chi.

Yeah, it's not the best theory. lol.

Anyone else loving the show, but disappointed with some of the painted backdrops? The worst ones look like they were sloppily painted in 30 minutes on an iPad or something.

Ok, I had dream last night where Amon was a wuss and mamas boy. It is actually his mother who is the bad guy, and she also knows blood bending. I think I am on to something here.

I prefer work that retains evidence of the artist's hand in it. Even if it is technically digital.

Semi-OT:

Have any of you read The Promise comics?

I bought part 1 and 2, and just finished the first one and I was pleasantly surprised. Funny, awesome, good artwork. Short but sweet. Gosh, I love me some Avatar.

I bought the first one. But it wasn't worth it. Only 80 pages - I finished it in like twenty minutes, if that. The continuation of the story was cool, especially the fact that it starts off right at the events of the finale.

The Lost Scrolls was a much bettter buy - probably around 3 times as long, for the same price. Better written (very funny), and the art was much better too.

I love Avatar, so I will eventually pick up The Promise Part 2, I'm sure. But they should have written them all as one book, not money grabbing by splitting them in three.

I wonder what a comic with them later in life would be like. We got to see Aang dealing with Yukone, but I'm sure there's more interesting stuff that we didn't see.

Yeah, that was the negative thing about it. It took me a lot less time to read it than I thought it would. Still awesome though, but I agree with they should of just made it one book.

It's 1:40am here, so...

I got a feeling this week's is gonna be good (but then, when hasn't it been good?).

And so that my post isn't complete spam, here's some stuff from Bryan's blog for those of you who don't read it.

I love when the light from the setting sun rakes across this cardboard cutout of Korra, which sits right outside of my office door in Fred Stewart’s cubicle. Joaquim drew it and the crew painted it with glow-in-the-dark paints for last year’s Halloween decorations.

When Bill showed this to me I said, “That’s cool! Who made it?” He replied, crestfallen and dejected, “I did.” Sorry, Bill! I didn’t know you had the powers of low-tech cuteness within you.

That's actually pretty neat!

Oh shit, 12 and a half hours until Afro-Circus!

E: Wait, shit, that should be Circus-Afro. Damn you zebra.

Don't forget as soon as Amon takes over the city... COMING UP SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!

Spongebob is Amon. Sponges have no blood to bend.

*Edit* Yes A27. That is correct.

I seem to remember that during the original series there was supposed to be a new Avatar episode and, just as it was about to begin, I was greeted with...a Spongebob marathon. I will never forget that great evil, that Sponge.
