Legend of Korra |OT| - Saturday Mornings Just Got Better

I thought the twist was going to be that Yakone/Tarrlock had made themselves a bracelet from finding and melting down the space sword, which was actually from the moon.

Didn't figure they'd just go with genetics/being gifted, but that works too.

Amon is too awesome a character for only one season. This show needs him! They've built him up brilliantly I don't want to see him fall after so few episodes.

A meteorite from the moon?

Yeah, same. It makes me really curious for what they plan to do next season.

Does next season start next spring or this fall? Hopefully the show gets renewed for season 3 and 4.

Just saw the episode. Amon's body isn't filled with blood. It is filled with dreams of a bending-free future.

AMEN AMON

I've got to give it to you equalists, your delusion knows no bounds. But you should be grateful he was born in this era, for he would have stood no chance against Sokka AND HIS TRUSTY BOOMERANG!

The only thing that bothers me about bloodbending is how they seem to do it with just their mind. Katara and the old lady had to make motions when bloodbending (as did Tarrlock), but Yakone just did it handcuffed.

Bending animations and fighting motions have taken a massive hit this series as a whole compared to the original. I don't know if trading it for HD is worth it.

I just wanted to say I'm glad Korra's smart.

I like how she dodged the box electrocution by hanging from the top bar using her arm wraps.

yeah. the goons were stupid to just announce their plans outright

HEY LETS ELECTROCUTE THE BOX SO ITLL KNOCK HER OUT. I HOPE SHE ISNT AWAKE AND ISNT HEARING EVERYTHING WERE SAYING

I was certain that Aang was being voiced by the dude who did Carth in KOTOR and Kaidan in Mass Effect. I was kind of shocked when I checked the credits and saw that it was someone else.

Still, I really hope they figure out a way to bring back his original voice somewhere. With all the flashbacks, I bet they could do it.

One thing folks aren't talking about is how in the trial, the lawyer specifically says that Yakone blood bended EXCEPT on the full moon.

Maybe there's something about his blood bending that's different... maybe he CANT blood bend during the full moon.

I'm not Therefore I think it has some significance that we don't yet understand.

Watching the ending of ATLA again, the light show was supposed to help us visualize how Aang's will was almost overcome by the will of Ozai. It took a while to happen because Ozai had a strong will.

Amon overcomes his enemies quickly because his will is just that much stronger than those he energy bends.

The lion turtle said that if your will is not unbendable, the guy you're bending can corrupt your spirit.

Maybe Aang tried to energy bend someone before his death who had an unbendable will and Aang's spirit was somehow corrupted, leading to the creation of Amon.

More like he deliberately avoided bloodbending during a full moon to prevent any of the allegations from sticking.

So you're saing that Aang is Amon?

Had a theory from a long time ago that Amon is
zombie Aang
who is doing this to get Korra to bring true balance in the world.

We touched on this on the last page, bro.

They probably didn't think that there were airholes in the box.

That's the problem with henchmen these days; they don't think.

It's Sokka's fault for getting attacked by Yakone because he had all that blood. If Sokka was smart, he would've removed his blood before the trial. Some genius he turned out to be.

1) Way too convenient
2) Tarlok should've killed them all. They're going to get him anyway.
3) Lol kids show

I can only assume that Sokka was not allowed to bring HIS TRUSTY BOOMERANG into court otherwise Yakone would have fallen where he stood.

From Yakon's fight with Aang it doesn't seem like blood bending is that easy to kill with, silly as that may seem.

Anyways, holy fuck Amon was insanely awesome just shrugging off Tarlok's bloodbending.

AMEN AMON!

Oh I see.
So that's why Amon isn't affected by blood bending, he has hardly any blood.
:)

But he was. You can see it in the animation - his body reacts to being blood bent, and he walks slower, but he sort of shrugs it off.

Great episode, as always.

Sokka and his trusty boomerang.
Twinkle toes.
Meelo.
Mass bloodbending.
Avatar state Aang.
Tenzin actually doing something without getting knocked out (Even though he got knocked out earlier).
Superhero Lin.
Amon being a boss.
Naga actually being useful.

I really wish the seasons weren't so short so the whole show could be given a little more time to breathe, but I guess I should be happy it even exists.

He could have stabbed them or something, once you've knocked them all out, it wouldn't be too hard to kill them.

Man, that flashback wasn't very long. But it was nice to see Aang, Sokka and Toph. Wish their old voice actors could return, but I understand why they didn't since these versions of the characters are forty year olds. Hopefully we get another flashback when their maybe closer to their original voice actors' ages.

Aang never stopped using his Air Scooter, haha. Was really hoping to see Katara save him, but hey, Avatar State and Avatar theme, sure why not.

So when are we going to meet Zuko? I know Dante Basco is supposed to be returning for an episode.

Don't get your hopes up!

I heavily diagree. They stepped up their fighting choreography big time imo. The bending istelf was a bit lacking in some parts, but the rest was top notch.

On the episode: great one, I really liked it. But I so hope they don't do a shitty Korra and Mako end up together but I still have faith in Bryke at this point!

Can somebody remind me what the title for next weeks episode was? ANd did we already have a description for it?

Turning the Tides: The equalists begin to attack republic city

Man that episode was good. Amon said "lol no" when Tarrlok tried to bloodbend him, what a boss. Adult versions of the original characters were cool (Toph is still best character, I see), Aang whooping Yakone's ass with just the activation of his Avatar state was pretty badass.

I'm also glad Lin and Tenzin got to actually do something and not look like complete redshirts this time. It's annoying that they had to make Mako a douche to Asami to realize his feelings for Korra (instead of just manning up from the get-go and admitting he liked her best), but I figured it was gonna happen. I just hope Asami doesn't get completely chucked under the bus and become an Equalist or some stupid shit like that just because she's salty. Hey, maybe she can end up with Bolin.

the book will end with Korra without powers and Amon is on the loose... Book 2 will be Korra breaking the chi blocking done by Amon and becomes a fully realized Avatar.
If they do book 3... Then I don't know...
