NHL January |OT| Taking it outside, and other Winter Classic cliches

Whew just got home.

Outdoor classic was pretty fun, only downside is we had first row and they were horseshit cause you couldn't even see the ice with how they had the elevation. After the first we said eff that and went up higher to get a good view. First Marlies game I've seen in years, I was hopefully able to convince a couple of my buddies to commit to a few more this year.
 
Sabres are looking pretty good. Blues look sloppy.

Edit- Backes is on the bench, but I haven't seen him on the ice since he went into the boards.

They've got their moments of stupidity and bias, but there's little obnoxious yelling, no manufactured controversy, and they cover a variety of stuff. It seems much less produced/contrived than TSN or Sportsnet stuff.

Just learned the term "crumpler" from them; someone that gets hit along the boards and crumples to the ice to draw the call. Interesting. Another gun for our arsenals.

They also brought up this:

“Erik Karlsson leads the league in points by a defenceman, he’s an elite skater in the league, and, to this point in time, I can never remember him taking a dive.

“If it’s not a penalty, it’s not a penalty, but I don’t think you should be accusing someone of being a diver. That’s a pretty serious accusation, isn’t it?”

Didn't know Karlsson had that reputation, not to mention that he struggled to stay on his skates after being tripped.

I might only see it when Healey or Milbury (I always confuse the two for some reason) are always arguing about something stupid.
 
Z had his hand on the D's man back, but man, that's a tough one. He better not get suspended for that. Not even worth a game misconduct.
