I'd love for that to happen but why would Marvel want to do this? To put it in gaming terms, Marvel is PlayStation still releasing big hits while DC is Xbox struggling to survive.

While a lot were disappointed, I saw the best trailer in 4-5 years for Marvel.

Why would Marvel do it?
Money. They already tested the waters: Marvel's Deadpool/Batman became the best-selling comic of 2025 in both units and revenue, while DC's companion issue also finished in the top three. Now imagine the cinematic equivalent. Marvel wouldn't be rescuing DC, they'd be turning a once-in-a-generation crossover into a money printer. And BTW, PlayStation doesn't have to be struggling before it agrees to print money. Edit: There's also relationship-building happening at the top. James Gunn and Kevin Feige already have a long working relationship, still communicate regularly, and Gunn has acknowledged that a Marvel–DC crossover has at least been discussed. Won't happen anytime soon but I can see there being a build up to something bigger than End Game.

In my opinion the final trailer for Fantastic Four was much better than this Doomsday trailer:
The Doomsday trailer is relying on nostalgia and memberberries, it fell short for me.

Maybe they stopped faking their trailers. Several scenes in the IW trailer never even made it into the final film. Hulk doesn't even show up. Banner was sitting in the Hulkbuster all the time.

That trailer was auto disqualified because Pedro Pascal. They need to stop shoehorning his ass in every nook and cranny.

It was an ok trailer. But Marvel is just so uninteresting now. A carnival I can take my kids to.
Opinions and all that.
For me it was one of the low points of Marvel so far (Not that F4 has ever been adapted well).

I'll admit, I loved Infinity War despite some minor nitpicks, I think Endgame was a terrible movie, but this trailer was pretty decent. I'm surprised they showed characters like Shang Chi or the new Black Panther in a prominent way, I thought not a lot of people cared about their movies.
Completely unnecesary to bring back Chris Evans yet again, and I'm not looking forward to the third act of the movie, with a mindless army of generic minions that Doom will use so everyone can punch at something.

If I still cared about Marvel I dont necessarily mind bringing Evans back so he can get chewed out for the BS he pulled and to get confirmation on exactly what he did since the directors and writers have two different stories on that but if he's not going to shave and take back the shield it's just a waste of time regardless.

Yep, watch that trailer than watch this Doomsday trailer, the quality drop is insane. Granted, its just a trailer, but for the FIRST TRAILER, you'd think they would have put some effort into it. Did they have the marketing B team assemble the Doomsday trailer?

Steve went back to clap Peggy's cheeks and enjoy retirement. He already knew how the things go with Hydra, so as far as he was concerned, history had that shit handled. I think it's possible that sometime after Steve returned the Stones the Ancient One saw something was changed resulting in Doomsday and asked Steve to come out of retirement to fix it. So still having the suit and equipment and with a little help from the Ancient one jumped forward (or back towards where he came from), summoned Thor's hammer to confirm it's him, saved reality one last time, then went back to Peggy and resumed clapping cheeks. Park-bench Steve is still the same dude, just much later in his personal timeline. If I'm right, this captain America will have the shield and the mission became personal after he was shown this Doom is a Tony Stark variant who became Doom instead of Iron Man.
Edit: What makes Captain America such a serious problem for Doom is that Steve already knows he survives. He always intended to give Sam the shield, so the moment he sees Sam carrying it, he knows they eventually win, he just doesn't know how until it happens.

I feel like they A. only have some scenes done with SFX and B are sooooooooooooooooooo worried about plot leaks that they just handed them a bunch of snippets and they did what they could with it.
Well, you don't really have any emotional connection that got build up from the first Avengers movie and the MCU at that time. Here it hits hard because you know these people and more than that, you care about them.
The music is better too.
Also, it could be that they really don't have any good material to use.

Lol so many marvel films are created on sound stages it's kind of crazy when you rewatch some of them and realize it. Even crazier when you find out they make the action scenes first and often work scripts around them.
Marvel movies are money sinks for sure but they know how to keep FX guys employed
I can go back and do the Iron Man to Endgame run and reignite my MCU passion....damn that shit was FIRE. If I curate the roster to just the ones I really like, its even better.
This film, on paper, has a lot of the elements of being a great film, but I really worry because the Russos have done little outside of Cap A that's any good and Evans/Hemsworth haven't really stretched either. Capturing that lightning again.....can they do it?

Well they REALLY need to trim rosters here so hopefully they do it. They have a ton of crappy Phase 4/5 characters who need murdering.
I suspect they will pivot 100% to x-men after this secret wars thing so hopefully they are VERY careful with the casting of that crew. Everyone else is reduced to a glorified cameo at best. Even Tom Holland will have to hang up Spidey, or at least will price himself out of it. I think the MCU is gonna have to reign in on these salaries.

If an actor willingly signs off on it and their estate is being compensated because they want the character to live on for the fans, I don't see it as anyone else's place to object on their behalf. But if someone personally opposes the practice, choosing not to support the movie with their wallet is completely reasonable. From what I know, they brought Peter Cushing back from the dead using CGI. Carrie Fisher was in after she passed, but they just used old footage and like you mentioned James Earl Jones gave the green light for an AI to handle Vader's voice before he died. I assume the estates are being compensated because that would make the most sense, but I can't say for certain that they are.

I hope most of the New Avengers Die. Pedro Pascal, please kill him. I hope a lot of the people that replaced the original avengers die.
I would like to see Hulk Die. Maybe kill Professor X for the 5th time.
Wolverine should die forever. Kill captain Marvel. Kill Shazam, Make sure Black Adam Dies. Deffinetly should kill Auquaman and Lobo, and Probably supegirl after her movie tanked.
Kill Gamora again. Kill the 10 rings guy, no one will care. Have Kang also get killed. Loki should die again. Maybe let Odin die, then be renewed and killed.
Kill the Flash, and kill spidey, but after he teams up with He-Man. Have him destroy politicians and re-establish the constitution with term limits.
In the end leave only one hero left alive to rebuild the marvel franchise on the backs of a rebuilt superman movie.

I'll wait to see what RDJ does with Doom before I agree. Tony wants to save the world; Doom believes the only way to save it is to rule it. Honestly, casting RDJ for Doom was a damn good choice.
