My PS wallet from Costco purchases has $252.78 left. After it's spent I'm making the switch to PC

My backlog is HUGE:

A Plague Tale Requiem
A Way Out
Alan Wake I and II
Baldurs Gate
Coffee Talk 2
Death Stranding
Dead Space
Death trap Dungeon
Divinity II
DMC 5
Dragons Dogma 2
Frost punk
Hellblade
I Saw Black Clouds
Like as Dragon Ishin
Mafia 3
Mia and the Dragon Princess
Shadow of Mordor
Resident Evil 2 and 4
She Sees Red
Telling Lies
House of Ashes
Little Hope
Man of Mdds
Evil Within 1 and 2
The Complex
Night Book
The Isle Tide Hotel
The Outer Worlds 2
The Quarry
Truth
Twelve Minutes
Vegas Tales
War hammer Space Marine
Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus

And honestly probably more I missed scrolling through on my PS app

Do I just use the $ to keep + from lapsing and play my backlog and any "free" titles + offers.

Or buy other titles/deals that I want to add to the backlog.

if u like genre then gta6 4sure, other than that:

Your points don't expire, do they? And your backlog is already lengthy--not to mention girthy.

I'd buy games on sale as they come because who knows when you'll actually get to them.

Just blowing it all at once for fewer games you aren't going to play now anyway doesn't make sense to me.

I'd keep it for any exclusives the PS5 has/gets that the PC doesn't. Anything else I'd spend on DLC for games I am playing that I want DLC for.

I have about $30 PSN credit acquired through converting free Bestbuy gift cards. I'm waiting for AstroBot to hit that price and then I think I'm done for PSN purchases, for the foreseeable future.

I think PS Plus is about the very last thing I would spend that money on. Unless it's your only way to play a multiplayer game you really want. Just play these games at your own pace, and use the credit to snipe any sales or future games you want.

Maybe you will be playing GTA on PS.

Just save it on the off chance sony releases something you want to play if you are switching to PC

Yeah I'm not looking to spend it all today my question was more (1) stop buying games completely on PS and go through backlog and + or (2) pick and choose through sales and add to the backlog (basically the status quo)

Play The Quarry over the summer, Alan Wake in the fall. I would just play backlog, but that's me. Nothing that interesting is coming up for me to buy.

Unless you're gonna sell or throw the console out the window, I'd just spend the remaining money over time on games that you want that get marked down.

It's fine to move to another platform as your primary, but definitely get the value out of what you already bought, and anything exclusive in the future you might be interested in.

Spend it all strictly on cosmetic DLC for dead/dying live service games.

"Do I just use the $ to keep + from lapsing and play my backlog and any "free" titles + offers." In all seriousness this might be the best choice. Most of those games will end up on the service at some point.

Ah, gotcha.

If you need PS Plus for the multiplayer, that's one thing. That's why I keep it around.

I've played a few bangers from giveaways on PS Plus I wouldn't have otherwise, but that's rare. And for someone like you who already has a sizeable backlog, I wouldn't think the freebies would be worth the time you could spend on the games you KNOW you want to play.

What, you don't trust Sony with your credit card info?
Neither do I.

Just save it for the future PS5 exclusives. Don't buy games that might tie you down and keep you coming back to PS. At least it saves you from rebuying said games again.

That's a BIG reason CC hacks I don't put/save my CC info ANYWHERE

Another reason is to save some money with 10% off every $100 at Costco PSN credit and occasionally 15% off plus my 2% back from Costco plus 2% back from my CC add that plus PSN currently does not collect any sales tax in my state and that's another 8.5%

So net I'm only "really" paying about 78% of cost going the Costco and no sales tax route

Just buy the stuff you want on sale as things go along. Not like Hulst is going to go to your house and take your PS5. 😉

I'd go with this option of waiting for exclusives down the road, if it were me 👆

You can even wait for sales on those to stretch your money even further. Unless something is expiring and I'm not understanding (I woke up too early today) 🙂

Lately I have been playing more older titles through emulation. Save that money for future titles you got to have.

I do exactly the same thing. I'm too ashamed to open a credit line for PSN cashback rewards so that's the only savings I leave on the table.
