It's an odd mixture of animated and live action. I trust that they will deliver on release though.

I feel like with that last season they were attempting to rival Mappa, but we will have to see if they will step it up in the cinematography area because that's the other key that's needed.

Live action is currently in production for Netflix.
I could imagine that they just used the scenes in this trailer for teasing.

I'm curious what they'll show in the movie. The big plot point (Island) was in Season 2 and the Manwa takes its time until the next big highlight.

I never really got into the anime, even though it's almost exactly the same. But something's missing from the Manga. And this looks strange, too.

The manga focuses mainly on the protagonist while the anime tries to show other people as well. This took me out of the flow from time to time.

well, the live action stuff definitely is a choice. but it being an announcement trailer and all, I'm guessing they just want to make it stylish while pushing it out as soon as possible, so I'll cut them some slack. we'll see when an actual trailer comes out and go from there.
