What game are you currently playing?

I'm enjoying collecting all the Gwent cards in Witcher 3 at the moment.
I surprised myself in beating many supposed high profile players (as I am usually terrible at anything relying on strategy) and I'm hoping to collect them all.
I'm puzzled how I'm going to get any that don't rely on quests, as it's quite the challenge to locate stuff in that huge world.
 
Finally getting around to playing UFO 50. It's perfect for Switch. Only played a few of the games so far, Pingolf is kicking my ass - best run was +13. They really nailed the feel of the NES era and weird little games, good collection.
 
Front Mission 2 (PlayStation 1)
Newly released fanmade translation. Waiting decades for this one. An ultimately a much better option over the completely offbase remake on modern consoles. Shame Square farmed those FM remakes out to such an inept no-name developer.
This PS1 version is obviously the real deal.

Racing Battle C1 (PlayStation 2)
Another translation discovered. A true hidden gem. The quality level of a Gran Tursimo but focused on the street racing of Japan. This game needs way more love. Def check it out if this is your bag.

Xenoblade Chronicles 1 (Switch 2)
Never got around to playing this on the Wii - and I skipped the entire Switch generation - to the now and the ultimate version of the game. I like it - love the characters and world and color pallet - its good wholesome JRPG fun, but its lacking challenging and im hoping that changes. It mostly reminds me of a lesser FFXII.

Sega Ages - OutRun (Switch 2)
These Switch Sega Ages games are just perfection - and this is OutRun just about as good as the game has ever been presented - probably even topping the Saturn 1 import.
However M2 really dropped the ball by not including rumble in this title. I wonder why that is when the other Sega Ages on switch have rumble?
 
Okay RE9 is a bizarre mix. Like it's a mashup of different games. I mean I like the different parts it's just that the disconnect in gameplay is really weird.

We will see how this will play out, but I also think Amazon doing its own Bond game(s) wouldn't really have to overrule IO's potential sequel as IO's game is based on an original Bond created by them rather than ones we know from movies. It has its own continuity that exists beyond movies, games and books. Amazon's game can be based on one of the past actors, completely new take at character separate from Patrick Gibson's or one that will be playing this role in upcoming 26th movie

It's kinda like with Indiana Jones. If a hypothetical next game will be made, MachineGames doesn't have to be involved. Lucafilm can have a different dev that will do its own thing that isn't tied to Great Circle in any way but is still a game about Indy (although in this case always with Harrison Ford's likeness but may have different VO's). The bigger question is if IO and Amazon will manage to negotiate rights that will be acceptable to both parties as with First Light IO is self-publishing it. I imagine that Amazon wanting to step it in publishing and starting to dictate things according to their vision could lead to IO backing out as creative control wouldn't be on a same level they had here

Talking of Indiana Jones, who knew that the latest game would end up being better than the latest movie in the Indy franchise! Similar situation to what happened with Alien Isolation
 
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

This thing is really long (I'm doing a 100% playthrough), but it's not just all the LEGO Star wars games slapped into a package like I thought it would be, it's a massive game combining all nine films and allows you at any point to revisit locations from other movies in the saga. It's the usual sloppy LEGO platforming and battle system but it's a nice palate cleanser with no real difficulty. It is much longer than I expected.

Even though it doesn't completely follows the story of the first, this is really a great sequel. Cool secondary characters.

It improves length and gameplay with more attacks; more armor upgrades; more replayability with scenarios/mini-games; shop/bond system

Jubei doesn't have the charisma of Samanosuke and the original has a great horror tone rather than include comic relief moments but as a whole 2 > 1. It's content makes 1 feel like just a prologue.

I love doing Issen (Criticals) on enemies in the game. SO SATISFYING. When I finished my playthrough, 2/3rd's of my kills were from them. Now to wait for Onimusha 3 Remastered....
 
went on a shopping spree of cheap indie games with great user reviews and not widely known...right now playing cryptmaster, which is basically a wordle RPG

He went through insane training after re2 and became a one man army by re4. By the time re9 rolls around it's basically just another walk in the park for him.
