Let the peasants have their day. It helps keep them in line.IDK about that.
Careful of the algo zeitgeist.

But I do. Even the American commentators were like "With the way we are playing in this WC, we can cruise through quater final". Barely anyone in American media proclaimed this match was going to be hard for them. They were more focused on discussing whether if they were going to play against Portugal or Spain.IDK about that.

That's not "most Americans"But I do. Even the American commentators were like "With the way we are playing in this WC, we can cruise through quater final". Homer commentators will do that. But I do. Even the American commentators were like "With the way we are playing in this WC, we can cruise through quater final". The best thing about soccer is that the games are 2 hours. I love CFB but it is hard to watch more than 1 3.5 hour game per week. I got shit to do. I'm probably going to stick around for the rest of this World Cup. This sport is great when you are watching the top players. The good thing about soccer not being wildly popular over here I guess is that these brutal losses dont send me into a full depression yet.
Just wait a few months until college football starts and Texas beats Oklahoma by 40 again and I start doing heroin to dull the pain.
Wont be hard lol.
Like half the point of commentators is to gas up the home team so people watch. My local baseball team has been terrible for 40 years but if you only listened to the commentary you'd think we were always in the middle of a dynasty. But I do. Nothing beats Cris Collinsworth deep throating Mahomes and Tony Romo eating Josh Allen's ass live on air. Metaphorically, maybeHomer commentators will do that.
If you think that'd bad, you should had watched the Canadian telecasts on TSN. You'd think they are world cup contenders talking about how good the team's qualifying records are in the past. I dont know soccer, but whomever Alistair Johnson is they talk about him a lot and gets on mic answering Q&A like he's a world all star. And Alphonso Davies is like the country's soccer equivalent of Wayne Gretzky.
US team just not ready to hang with the big boys yet: if this is how we look against Belgium, being able to compete with the likes of Argentina or France is definitely out of reach. The good news is that I think the athletic talent is mostly there, but it needs a lot more seasoning with experience and better coaching. We also need an ascendant scorer to emerge.....I could see Balogun or Tillman being that guy in another 4 years.
Good fucking riddanceOof. At least the Americans can no longer interfere with our sport.
Even the corrupt FIFA can't help you with this outcome.
What a shit show. Embarrassing! Hey it's not a red card but here's a fine??

The problem is that football isn't your number one sport. It's not in your DNA. It's not a religion.
American Football, Basketball, Ice Hockey and Baseball are all bigger sports in the US.

Soccer is #4 sport in the US, above Hockey and is catching up to Baseball, especially after this WC.
I thought this would be a close match.
has anyone seen a good defender? i hear the americans are looking 4-1
USAWhy did people think this?
DeBruyne alone can control a midfield. Why did people think this? Belgium have world class players who play in the best leagues in the world. Their players compete at the highest level and are experienced.
What does that even meanDefeated by not even a country.
