FIFA World Cup 2026 - It's Called Football, Not Soccer!

Bro was trying hard to recall Balogun name, then he said fuck it, lets go with messi ronaldo kane

In his defense, most Americans before this Cup were like, "The fuck is a balogun? Can we get that at Walmart? What's the waiting period on it? What kind of ammo does it use?"

Hey is this true?

They're not all the same, but if your goal was farming Twitter engagement, that's a solid strategy. :messenger_tongue:

American pride may be odd to most of you, but we love it :messenger_grinning_sweat:
Eh, it's a bit of both for me. I think it's kinda beautiful and in other ways I find it extremely cringe worthy. But the former usually wins it over the latter for me personally.

A little more love for ones own country is something I think we can learn from the US.
It's really sad seeing some sports people and reporters go from outraged over the red card to outraged it was suspended just because Trump had a hand in it and they hate Trump. Ultimately a terrible call was corrected and to me that's all I care about.
It's really sad that a rule can suddenly be overlooked regardless of who's decision it ended up being. It's very bad for a sport to just play with the rules as one may please. Don't give a fuck if it was Trump, any other president, king or just the FIFA. It's simply foul play, regardless. Why the hell would any other player who got sent off for roughly the same reason stay on the bench in the upcoming match(es)? Looking at Englands Quansah.

It only invites for more shitshows and fuckery for any match to come. Something the sport already suffers from more than enough, unfortunately.

Might I also suggest putting a time limit on how long the team has to be down a man? Forcing a team to effectively play defense for the entire remaining match because one person either made a mistake or was indeed a douche is equally insane to me. One bad call can put the team at a disadvantage the entire rest of that game? I get that the sport is played at a glacial pace compared to the NFL, NHL, and NBA... but holy shit. Make them be down a man for 15 minutes or something. If it's truly a serious enough moment where the dude gets suspended, like he actually tried to break someone's leg or assaulted a ref, then we can have another conversation.

I just feel like the sport is done a disservice when the bar to prevent teams from playing each other at full strength is so low.

Bingo.

this shit make me nauseous.

I hope this is the last time I see US hosting in my lifetime.
Weak.

But the red card was bogus and didn't follow the letter of the law on what is supposed to call for a red card. So ok them suspending it is out of character. But him getting one in the first place was unjust.

Ultimately, the suspension corrected a wrong. I'm just sick of watching sports and seeing refs/officials make egregious, bogus, and sometimes I suspect agenda-driven calls and just be able to get away with it and them never get corrected. This time it did. And no one knows how much of an influence Donny had on it anyway. I'm sure some, but how much who knows. They could have just felt shame for making a wrong call to a really good player and wanting justice done.

Lol another one. You crazy Americans.

It's not bogus. And as of now we do know much influence Trump had. Justice would be he sits it out anyway, like everyone else who got a red card.

Might as well break someone's leg deliberately if you are the best player on a team. Best player should play regardless. Obey the rules, don't make retarded fouls and you can play the next match.

VAR Angle

"I didn't know what the hell a red card was"

Next breath:

"I asked for a review because I didn't think it was a foul"

How the fuck you know you lunatic, if you don't even know the basic rules lol. Love this guy, he's off his tits.

You either didn't read the entirety of my post or didn't care and just wanted to lash out anyway.

It was an absolutely laughable egregious call. Wasn't remotely close to a red card, one of the worst red cards you'll ever see. So how was it not bogus? I haven't seen a single person think it was even close to one.

If Balogun can't play then that ref should be suspended. You shouldn't be able to just kick players out of games for whatever you want without repercussion.

It's called sarcasm. How do people not pick up on his self-depreciating humor of old school NY styled sarcasm after all these years?

Man, that global psyop is real.

To be honest, I'm still amazed that after a decade of him being in the political theater, people still don't understand that he is an American businessman and entertainer who doesn't care for the typical political song and dance. Watching politicians from other countries have no idea what kind of game he's playing after all this time is wild to me.

I can guarantee that never happened. The guy carries about as much weight as Elliot Page.

At this point they just want to add a 50 point list to account for every nuance so they can stop the game at a moments notice for their precious ad-breaks; welcome to 200 minute matches.
I like my idea of goals being worth 3 points inside the box and 5 out of the box.

You hit and hurt someone (badly), you get sent off. No matter if it's accident through bad timing or just plain stupid decision making.

If I'd go for the ball inside the box and only manage to hit your leg due to the speed we'd be running, nerves cause it's a WC match, timing or anything you can throw at it, you'd get a penalty and I would be fouled. Those are the rules, just not in this case somehow.
And again: It's also about the overall message this sends out. You can just appeal everything and try your luck. It's not a casino in Vegas.

This will always remain a retarded decision by FIFA.

You are 100% right. Apologies.

FIFA thinks it was a red card. Go figure that one out.

Is it unreasonable to ask for a clear line for offsides?

Is it unreasonable to just stop the clock when play has stopped and resume it when play starts again, instead of adding questionable amounts of time onto the clock later?

Is it unreasonable to think an official shouldn't have the power to unilaterally ban someone from a future game? Especially if the call was bogus?

Is it unreasonable to want big titty goth cheerleaders?
