I love this sport so much
Seriously. I thought it would be a slaughter when they added 16 countries to the tournament but I've been very impressed by many of the smaller teams.Even though they loss, Cabo Verde put up a damn good fight. They will be remembered dearly. May they return again in 2030![]()
You have to really analyze that some of these teams don't play nearly as much as the big teams and their club teams. It's still not as good for the WC but players who play 70 games are going to be more tired than players who don't play as much. It's a catch 22. I still think this should be a 32 team comp.Seriously. I thought it would be a slaughter when they added 16 countries to the tournament but I've been very impressed by many of the smaller teams.
Stand by my words.Argentina, wtf am I watcing?! as soon as they'll meet a tier 1 team it's 0-5.
Their mid game is comically horrible, zero talent.
Only with extra time though. If this had been a group game, Argentina would have drew with CV like Spain and Uruguay did.Keep in mind Spain and Uruguay couldn't break this team. Argentina suffered but did. These are the ones that champions are made of.
Argentina as always suffered but like in Qatar, their championship mettle showed. Remember Saudi Arabia? Everyone wrote Argentina off after that too.
Same! Like I used to prioritize quality over quantity, but there hasn't been a decline in that so far.Seriously. I thought it would be a slaughter when they added 16 countries to the tournament but I've been very impressed by many of the smaller teams.
I wouldn't be so sure as the legs and all that are different at the start. You could argue it could have been another Saudi Arabia but you have to respect this modern Argentina team.Only with extra time though. If this had been a group game, Argentina would have drew with CV like Spain and Uruguay did.
I agree. It's a one man team basically. If they face France they'll get stomped.Stand by my words.
That's what they said in Qatar.I agree. It's a one man team basically. If they face France they'll get stomped.
ooooooooooOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHThat being said, here come Ghana/Columbia!
As someone who has been there and has fam in the neighboring country, we are rooting for Columbia now that Ecuador is out.ooooooooooOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
I'M SUPER DUPER ULTRA MEGA SCARED FOR COLOMBIA
I CAN'T JINX IT AGAIN![]()
What I mean is that I don't think its fair to say that Spain and Uruguay couldn't break down Capo Verde, but Argentina could.I wouldn't be so sure as the legs and all that are different at the start. You could argue it could have been another Saudi Arabia but you have to respect this modern Argentina team.
There are at least 15 strikers from that list ahead of him that had played during he 90's/2000'sI am not sure I would put strikers who played in the 1930s or 40s above Harry Kane.
Only 75 minutes to go you horseyes, YES, GOAL YES.
This isn't over yet however 0_0
I don't dislike there being 32 teams in the knockout phase but it takes away some of the drama from the group stages having so many 3rd place teams go through.Same! Like I used to prioritize quality over quantity, but there hasn't been a decline in that so far.
Same, I'm unsure if I agree with having 48 teams in the tournament. But I don't really dislike it now either because I think it's been a fantastic tournament.I don't dislike there being 32 teams in the knockout phase but it takes away some of the drama from the group stages having so many 3rd place teams go through.
Gosh DAMNIT I jinxed it AGAINAnd there goes another yellow card for Ghana
You missed a fantastic game.Wow Cabo Verde! Missed the game cause I had to sleep for work
