Seems like they would rather be done with first party games and it seems like if your AAA and third party that's the better position to be in then being first party and tied to hardware (Nintendo is an exception) Both Sony and Microsoft seem to be done with first party as long as the game can have a heavy ROI. They both seem to rather be gaming platform stores like steam where they can make money off third party games or have publishing to third party or second party games.
