I've always wondered if Astroturfers were part of the regular marketing budget or had their very own. Too bad we can't ask Phil these days. The marketing budget being put to good work![]()

Normies are desperate to play it. But I'm going to guess a fair number of them are not $700 (pre tax) desperate to do so.This thing is going to sell more PS5 than an entire holiday season.
I mean even without mods it will play and look best on PC.nah, GTA play best on PC, why, You can mod many things to Your preferences
Is it though? It's just marketing talk. Don't let it fool you.
Well yeah, but you have to wait right?I mean even without mods it will play and look best on PC.
No shit?Well yeah, but you have to wait right?
yeah...PS6 is coming next year or 2028For now...
You're going to be surprised.Normies are desperate to play it. But I'm going to guess a fair number of them are not $700 (pre tax) desperate to do so.
Why PC Versions are Delayed
- Revenue Strategy: Parent company Take-Two focuses on console platforms first, where the largest share of high-priced sales and GTA Online revenue originates. [1, 2]
- Piracy Protection: Maximizing the initial, critical sales surge happens on locked-down consoles where game piracy is not an immediate factor. [1]
- Hardware Optimization: Consoles have fixed hardware, while the PC ecosystem has thousands of different configurations and driver combinations. Polishing the game for PC requires extra months of development. [1, 2]
Most families don't have 7-800 to spunk on a toy. You're going to be surprised.
7-800 I'm not sure but I think a lot of people are gonna buy Switch 2 for OOT which may end up costing 600 or 700 for them. So PS5 Pro for GTA is not impossible. Especially with the people who claim to have set out this gen due to no games. Nostalgia can bring them back. Most families don't have 7-800 to spunk on a toy.
Reminds of the thread about a $1000 PS5. They will not buy it. This place is detached from reality.
We need to wait and see whether Sony will offer promotions to attract more buyers, which I think is very possible. They could even release a bundle that includes the game. Most families don't have 7-800 to spunk on a toy.

Literally nobody said thatLol and shills were trying to convince everyone Microsoft would have the marketing partnership with this game
Exclusive 60fps edition incoming.
Not anymore when the steam machine functions as the representative of PC GamingI mean even without mods it will play and look best on PC.
Gaming has always been a luxury hobby, but it's a luxury within reach for a lot of households, especially around xmas with retailer deals. GTA6 is going to be the biggest gaming event of this generation and last gen too. It probably won't move consoles like the franchise did in the PS2/PS3 era, because the market and economy are different now. But it will absolutely shift units. Plenty of gamers that have held off upgrading will finally decide that this game is worth buying a PS5/XSX for. Most families don't have 7-800 to spunk on a toy.

Don't forget that sometimes the series X has better loading. The reality is that games will never have the need to load the much data that quickly - having an SSD In general, even sata, providing consistent stateful access is the game changer period.Just PR bullshit , same thing will be in series x
Literally nobody said that![]()
YupIf they really use the custom I/O blocks to decompress data on PS5 there should be a magnitude of difference. Like 1sec vs 10sec.
No big games have near instant loading on XSX, even in their first party games, when PS5 has a few of them. We'll see.
You know damned well Sony is going to be pumping these boxes out for the games this fall. But what if they don't have any consoles to sell?

New Document Reveals Sony's Fix for Rising PS5 Costs May Be Selling Fewer Consoles
A new document reveals that Sony could be looking to manage the high memory prices by simply selling fewer PS5 units and ending promotions.tech4gamers.com
The current console generation has been somewhat unlucky. It started during the pandemic times, so there were mass shortages as the trades were disrupted. Now, due to the AI boom, memory prices are skyrocketing, leading to higher prices.
Unsurprisingly, Sony has been hit by this too, as they had to increase PS5 prices earlier this year. Now, a new document shows that they are planning to fix this situation by just selling lower PS5 consoles.
Why it matters: Despite the slower start, the sales had become so high...

To make such a claim, you need to know how it plays on other platforms. Which I doubt they know.If it plays best on their platform, why can't they advertise it actually does?
> PLAYSTATION blog posts about Playstation features
> "huuuuh Xbox can do this too, this is just marketing"
Yeah no shit dawg
No shit. Ofcourse they will prioritize optimizing for the platform where their game will actually sell.
How so?Extrapolating from console hardware of 20 years ago is a total misunderstanding of the current day consoles....

Bet your accounts on it.
I doubt any other platform, barring the PC, will play it better than a PS5pro.To make such a claim, you need to know how it plays on other platforms. Which I doubt they know.
We live in a reality where, just months ago, the iPhone 17 launched at $800 and sold somewhere around 22–25 million units in its first month, even though most buyers already had a relatively recent iPhone. Most families don't have 7-800 to spunk on a toy.

People don't pay for phones by digging the money out of their pocket. It's usually discounted and then broken up into payments on their cell phone bill which they pay anyway. We live in a reality where, just months ago, the iPhone 17 launched at $800 and sold somewhere around 22–25 million units in its first month, even though most buyers already had a relatively recent iPhone.
It surprises me that people still underestimate consumer spending power. Even when they can't really afford it, people often find a way. I'm not saying that's right or wrong, just pointing out the reality of it.
This it not the point being made by Sony's communication though.I doubt any other platform, barring the PC, will play it better than a PS5pro.
