This needs to be highlighted more. Could even get a base Digital PS5, Digital Series X, and Switch 2 with just $150 more than the 2 TB Steam Machine with controller.

I can't imagine why anyone would buy one of these. Can someone give me some reasons?

Yea, SFF is for one, very expensive on PC in general. Mini-ITX builds always has a tax for every components, the special height RAM, the ridiculously expensive cases, etc etc. But the gabecube takes it to the extreme (at the loss of upgradability though)

I would also add the HDMI CEC is a differentiator compared to the rest of PCs, it makes steam machine truely a seamless console experience.

I ain't touching this with a ten foot pole, and quite surprised there's even over 20 peoples wanting it on neogaf, but good for you all.

Nope. Already have a much more powerful PC, so it's useless.

Will probably switch from Windows 11 to SteamOS down the line though.

I was interested to get one as a backup computer.

The lack of an audio output makes it unusable as a ready-to-use desktop computer for me, and its price is far too high for a backup PC.
