I don't think that's feasible for RAM, but it might work for storage.
If it's an open standard (unlike Microsoft's exclusivity deal with Seagate), that might be the best option.
Maybe I only need a 256GB SSD because I only play two games at a time and I can cold-storage the rest on a USB drive.
