I was wondering the same thing. Earlier today, videos were taking forever to load for me, and a few pages were showing playback errors. At first I thought it was my internet connection, but everything else was working normally.

Has anyone checked whether there are reports from other regions as well? Sometimes YouTube has temporary outages that affect only certain countries or servers. It would be useful to know if this is a widespread issue or just an isolated problem.

Are you using an extension for youtube? I use youtube enhancer and it will break (like that) if youtube updates something.

Idunno if this is because I have an adblocker or not, but Youtube's front page isn't showing any videos at all for me. Which I don't mind, but it seems like that would lose them money.

I tried to work through with gemini yesterday why youtube was unreliable and it told me to use an ad blocker. Apparently there is an issue with youtube freaking out when cross site tracking protection is enabled in firefox. Wonder why that is, maybe youtube really really wants to deploy those anal probes so much that it freaks out and tries to probe you thousands of times a millisecond.

Yes started happening on Firefox 152+, a reload or two of the page usually fix it for me.
