Aye, the Garfield comic sucks, but I did enjoy the cartoon for whatever reason.

I also watched this cartoon as a kid for a pretty silly reason. I was convinced MAD was secretly Black, and in my kid brain I thought they were deliberately hiding his face because of that. I ended up rooting for MAD. Back then, I saw Inspector Gadget as the villain, a nosy, clueless detective stumbling through everything, while MAD felt like the guy fighting against the system. Looking back, it makes absolutely no sense, but that's genuinely how I interpreted the show as a kid.

Also, someone's dog scared off the Amazon delivery guy. They acted like it was my fault, but I don't have a dog.

Just chilling in the man cave, listening to a bunch of video game tracks I've picked up over the years. This one is an absolute banger.

I wasn't, because by the time I learned all that, I was already a grown man and no longer saw the world in black and white. By then I had realized that "white" isn't some single thing. People are Irish, German, Austrian, Russian, Australian, Italian, and a hundred other things. The same goes for "black." There's African American, Jamaican, Haitian, Ethiopian, Nigerian, Ghanaian, and countless others, all with their own histories, cultures, and perspectives.

Eventually, I zoomed out even further. We're all just meat sacks trying to make sense of life on a rock hurtling around the Sun at roughly 67,000 miles per hour, while the entire Solar System races around the center of the Milky Way at over 500,000 miles per hour, and the galaxy itself moves through space at an even more ridiculous speed.
