We got in Halo Wars also a female AI, but with clothes.

It seems like there is a push to make women androgynous. Whether it's an attempt to try to make male players more comfortable playing a female lead, or it's progressive push to get non-binary people representation. Flip a coin.

That said, I don't think Deb looks bad in this game. She's not supposed to look like a model in this kind of world. Other games, you 100% have a point.
