Good points. My main reason for putting Bethesda below B is that they haven't announced any new games coming to Switch 2, but actually I'm not sure they've even announced any new games since Switch 2 came out.Square and Capcom are both fully committed to releasing games day one on the Switch 2. We have a ton of evidence of this now, and I believe all their major upcoming releases have been confirmed to be coming day and date.
I would move Bethesda up to B, since I believe the only major release we're missing from them is Doom. The fact that they've already brought Fallout, Indiana Jones, and *sigh* Skyrim, with Oblivion on the way, seems like really solid support for Year One.
I would also probably move Atlus up to C. It's ridiculous that they haven't anounced P4R or P6 for the platform yet, but they've released two games on the platform already with a third coming this fall, so it's not catastrophic, and certainly not worse than Microsoft (minus Bethesda and Activision), which has only brought over, what, South of Midnight?
Edit: Bethesda has also patched both Skyrim and Fallout 4 since launch to dramatically improve graphics and performance, so that's another point in their favor.
And yeah I was too generous to Microsoft now that I think about it.
Agree with you on Bethesda (as above) but think you're being harsh on Sega. And to clarify I'm judging Sega and Atlus separately.Pretty much the same but Bethesda at B, and Sega at C or even D, they're the only japanese 3rd party publisher to skip new releases for Switch. Late P3 Reload port, late Metaphor port, P4 remake and P6 not even announced on the console so probably late ports as well, took them years to put Yakuza on it. And it took them months to put a Switch 2 version of Sonic Crossworlds.
So, so far only one day and date release, which is Kiwami 3.
EA did a better job supporting the console than Sega.
Sega had Yakuza 0 Directors Cut as a timed exclusive, brought over a fair few ports (that were months old rather than years old) and have most importantly announced Crazy Taxi World Tour and Alien Isolation 2 for the platform.
Its mainly the latter two that make me think they deserve a B.
