It´s quite dificult to come up with data, apparently. But considering the total number of sold consoles, I would argue that some people picked up a third party game here and there.
Can only talk for myself, but most of my library are non-Nintendo games.
No but I meant the old Hitman game on Switch, and I had a look and it was Hitman: Absolution, which will get a Switch 2 upgrade - different from the remaster collectionThe Hitman collection that was announced yesterday has no Switch version currently.
We can focus on plenty of other games that don't have a Switch version announced if you want.Switch gets ea sports, cod , all square enix, lots of new capcom... and you guys are arguing over Hitman.![]()
Is basically the same as past year, when the titles get announced the same people are going radio silent.Switch gets ea sports, cod , all square enix, lots of new capcom... and you guys are arguing over Hitman.![]()

Another odd one is Onimusha: Way of the Sword because Capcom have announced Veronica will be on the Switch 2, so why not Onimusha?
This is a weird omission, since it seems like Capcom is otherwise fully committed to day-and-date releases on Switch 2. Surely Onimusha can't be harder to get running on the platform than Monster Hunter Wilds.
My only guess is maybe they know they can't get it optimized in time to release alongside other platforms and don't want to say "Switch 2 version coming on 2027" out of fear that it will dampen their initial sales on other platforms in Japan.
Probably, but Capcom can get RE9 optimised and released on Switch 2 with other platforms.
Maybe they have a deal with Nintendo to announce it in a Direct?

The next direct, whenever that is, needs to come with some killer third party titles.
Persona 4 Revival more your thing? Also not coming. There are plenty if you care to look.Anything's better than hitman.
lol I first mistyped that as Hitnan .. that would be a much more awesome game. Someone's Nana who takes people out!

Might later down the line but nothing announced so far. GTA6 also not coming if you want more.

Going by what's announced. Didn't say it never will if they decide to later down the line. It just isn't coming right now based on concrete information.
That's the same logic that the OP used to make this thread… Don't take that path.Going by what's announced. Didn't say it never will if they decide to later down the line. It just isn't coming right now based on concrete information.

With Belmonts Curse it wasn't in the vid because all the other platforms have a set release date while Switch 2 version doesn't. Persona might come too but they haven't committed to anything for Switch at all yet.No but I am willing to bet it does release on switch 2 as they ported all the other ones.
Like Castlevania: Belmont's Curse wasn't on the video but has been confirmed to be coming to switch 2 in month or 2 after launching on other platforms.

This, Is pretty clear that third parties are dosing their releases on Switch 2.Atlus announced Metaphor for the Switch 2 in this Direct and Persona 3 in the last one. Their announcement strategy is clear now: They want each release to get maximum exposure before they announce the next one.
Persona 4 is absolutely coming. The only question is whether it's day and date with other versions. And, like I said in my last post, if day one third party releases is the standard you want to use, then the Switch 2 is already annihilating its predecessor, with or without Persona.
Man.....ya'll ain't gonna let OP live this down, are you?

Fair enough but only because its prededecessor was disastrous with third party support. This is just less bad but still being skipped a lot. It's not just Hitman, if you want to go on hypotheticals then that may come too but based on confirmed commitments there's nothing concrete right now.Atlus announced Metaphor for the Switch 2 in this Direct and Persona 3 in the last one. Two things I'll never forgive or forget.
9/11, and this thread.
The Mortal Kombat games did. But other than sports games, those two are the only ones I am aware of. So yeah, Capcom in this year alone has three (RE, Pragmata, Onimusha). A massive improvement.Well, now we know that Capcom and Square are both all-in on day one multiplatform releases for the Switch 2.
Did any AAA multiplat launch day-and-date on the Switch 1? I know that Doom Eternal was planned to, but it got delayed.
Either way, this is a huge change from last gen.
You can do console warring list battles all you want, but it doesn't matter. PS4 did not get the same level of indie support that the Switch had. Do you care? Probably not. At some point a library becomes good enough that it doesn't matter how many games skip it because there are already more games you want to play than you have time to. Maybe the Switch 2 hasn't reached that threshold for you given the type of games you like to play. Sorry to hear that. But it is undeniably the best major third party support on a Nintendo console since the GC and almost certainly since the SNES. For many many many people, it is good enough. And coming in and shouting that game X and Y aren't present doesn't mean a thing for said people.Fair enough but only because its prededecessor was disastrous with third party support. What about 4th party? Nobody asked the question yetIt is funny to watch especially when they start to move the goalposts like they usually do

Although admittedly, day-and-date may still be a bit of a problem for the Switch 2; it's obvious that porting is not trivial (especially for Unreal 5).
I'm not doing list battles though. Somebody made it out like hitman is all that's missing for third party publisher support. I just said that's not really true and that third party publisher support is still fairly anaemic on it. That's not warring just because you disagree. As for indies I can't say I felt that at all with PS4. I remember the thing was being called indiestation most of the time, because it was getting a lot of indie games (The Witness, Hotline Miami, Superhot, Binding of Isaac, etc). Games that came late to switch or not at all. The switch certainly was still a good indie games machine though especially on the go.You can do console warring list battles all you want, but it doesn't matter. Certainly agree that it's got a lot better than the original Switch and I'm still interested in just upgrading my original Switch even if it's not specifically for third party support. I was drowning in games regardless, even before this gen (PS5/Switch 2).At some point a library becomes good enough that it doesn't matter how many games skip it because there are already more games you want to play than you have time to. All OP had to do was wait 2 days.OP sure loves his aged milk.
