This is a rework of the mobile game with same level of mobile graphics. It's doesn't have the high production values of a console HD-2D title like Octopath 1/2 and DQHD. Still, it seems interesting enough that I'll likely get it.

What would be cooler is a proper high production HD-2D Final Fantasy.

It's the same story, it's the same mishmash of sprites with varying levels of design and animation quality, it's the same goofy multiverse mechanics to get people to buy yet another game that features Cloud.

My previous comment notwithstanding, I'm cautiously hopeful for this game. I played FFBE for nearly 3 years shortly after it launched, but dropped it after a while like all gachas.

This being single player proper jrpg has the potential to be a fun adventure.

Yep, I don't get the hate for HD2D. It just takes normal 2D and adds depth to it. I feel like for some reason it's just as divisive as Cell Shading, another thing that I appreciate (when done well) that a lot of people hate.

FFV / FFVI needs this type of remake, so hoping this brings them to that.
