To be honest, it's a miracle the Spurs even came back in this game.

The team ball the Knicks are playing is outstanding.

Reminds me a little of the 2011 Mavs

Beyond the 4th quarter of game one, JB hasn't even played all that well. Knicks team ball is amazing when you can have a guy like Landry Shamet killing you. Consistency and experience are beating out the Spurs youth. MSG is going to be nuts.

He's been banged up, but I try not to use that excuse.
The Spurs have been pounded too - going that full 7 game series with OKC.

The job is far from done, but wow, getting two road victories to start the Finals for the Knicks is huge.

I just give JB a hard time since I sports hate him for justifiably leaving the Mavs. Luka and JB in the same draft and we turned them into air. Mark Cuban is was the worst owner in Dallas sports. I think the series over. Wemby, Castle and Harper just aren't ready yet, but they have a bright future. If Wemby is smart, he gets with Dirk and works on a post game. He doesn't even need the kickstand because of his size, but he often looks as ineffectual as Porzingis on the block.

KAT, the self proclaimed "best shooting big ever" being finals MVP is going to be a hard pill to swallow.

The Mavs have a bright future too, with ROTY Coop, new management, and some solid draft potential.

Everything you said about Wemby is on point, plus I think he needs to add on a little more muscle.

We spent so much draft capital putting that team around Luka and then Nico "basketball terrorist" didn't recuperate any of it with the worst trade in sports history. We don't control picks until the 2030s. They have to hit on #9 this year. Flagg is going to be good, looks a bit like a baby dear on ice on offense but is effective. I was expecting more on defense, but the team was atrocious and he is a rookie. They have a long road to hoe before they'll be in contention, but maybe the Spurs/Thunder will age/contract out by then.

Spurs are going to be fun. I really like Castle and Harper. Dogs on defense and offense. Can't believe I'm cheering for a Spurs team. I need a shower.

Anyone playing that 82-0 game yet?

You have to select players after rolling the team and from what decade you think you will go and win 82 games with. Once you pick a player you are stuck with it. You can change positions buts about it.

Took me a few dozen times but here was mine

My thoughts from someone who really last followed the NBA in 1999.

Knicks:
Total team concept.
No heroes.
Everyone contributes.

Spurs:
All hopes on an 8 foot tall circus freak and it's failing.

Not rooting for either team but god damn the Knicks fan base could really use a break and finally get a chip this century.
Spurs have time to comeback even better the next couple years.

Oh, this is cool. It said my first squad would go 66-16, but they would be trouble;

As for my Knicks, I've been a NY'er my whole life and fan since the days of Ewing, Oak and Starks. Basketball was my life as a kid and the ups and (mostly) downs of Knicks fandom has followed me into adulthood. I'm trying to hold my composure here and not get too excited prematurely, but this has been an amazing run. It feels surreal. Bring it home, boys.

Spot on.
This is even better analysis than most of the "professionals" in the media. 😆

Finally managed it after a bunch of attempts. Seems like getting 60s Wilt Chamberlain is the big difference maker.

It's a great series and the Spurs could easily be up 2 to 1 or even down 3-0. They've broken the mystic of the Knicks winning streak, go back home tied 2-2. Could be epic, whomever wins the next game I think will win the series. Spurs need to stop beating themslevs and Knicks just need to win that next game, I don't see Spurs recovering down 3-1.

I'm pretty disgusted by the New York ticket prices to be honest. Casual fans who support the team probably had zero chance of being there without selling a kidney.

I'm from NYC, so I'm obviously rooting for the Knicks. This is my first legit basketball game I tuned in to watch, and so far the experience makes me want to go to bed and get ready for work....

Spurs with a 20 point lead, holy fuck...

I dont watch Knicks games, but watching the telecast I think the arena's lighting is way brighter than usual.

In the past, any Knicks or Rangers game would be really dark and dingy.

Spurs up about 20 pts with 6 min and change in 3rd.

Fox gets the ball on the inbound to take it up court but purposely doesnt touch it till it gets to about centre. This is done by teams losing to save 3-4 seconds taking the ball up court.

Why would Fox do it? He touched the ball and passed to a teammate who missed a 3 pt shot. He jus saved the Knicks 3-4 seconds of game clock.

Fox should have dribbled that steal out and forced the Knicks to foul. Spurs with some really dumb basketball down the stretch.

Spurs also kept launching 3 pointers every other possession. They got Wemby, yet used him as a perimeter shooter. Get him inside to get close shots and draw fouls. Crazy coaching strategy.
