I get what you mean. They had the DMZ mp extraction mode in Modern Warfare 2, but in MW3 they basically copied it, removed the PvP, and turned it into a PvE co-op extraction mode with zombies instead.
That's close to what I was talking about. So, it's not like COD didn't have something almost exactly the same in the past.
I guess the half-baked stopgap Endgame mode should suffice until they come to their senses again.

They realised Korea had a demilitarised zone, so decided to set the entire game there and work backwards from that.

Definitely. This was actually the first year I thought I was out of COD, I've just had no interest in it this year, yet they got me by the balls again with their MW4 info/marketing FFS haha. Does look good though.
