Sinking City 2 Demo Is Out

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
You can try it here.

I'm pretty damn stoked for this.

Edit: Steam shows a link for the demo but there's no demo and YouTubers are playing it. Odd.

Okay that's weird.

So YouTubers are playing the demo and Steam has a link to the free demo but there's no demo on the page.

Had this happen to me this week with other game, can't remember which.

I couldn't add it on mobile, it did work on desktop app but I had to use search engine link for it because it didn't show up on games page. So it can happen, I guess.

Okay I'm using mobile so that explains it.

Looks okay on the gameplay videos, I don't mind it's less of a detective and more of an action game now. Shooting blisters to weaken enemies isn't very original, but it gets the job done. Maybe a bit too dark for my liking.

Steam did change UI a bit or smth, download demo button is on the right below your friends list - which also have the game in their wishlist. Weird choice and I think it was green before, now it's just regular blueish colour which kinda gets lost on Steam page, and its much too small, lmao.

It's here now, weird bug.

Edit: At least now we know that there are two download buttons, I guess.

Love the demo, it's full on survival horror like Silent Hill 2 remake or Cronos, guys don't sleep on it. Unreal Engine 5 but on newer version i think because performance is great without stutters. I'm gonna buy it if full version gets good reviews.

Just finished this. It was pretty damn good wtf? Its one of the better looking UE5 titles, but it has pretty bad performance and had some serious stutters here and there. Im on a 5070ti and was getting 60-70 fps maxed out and sadly framegen doesnt seem to work. If they can optimize this and fix framegen im buying it. Pretty clean UI, great character models, decent animations and resident evil like horror gameplay. Combat is a bit jank, but otherwise this will be great

Its a janky AA game as expected but its got the same charm and atmosphere that made me enjoy the first game despite its faults so im very much looking forward to the full release. Just wish the performance was better. Even indoors in closed off levels I was getting sub 60FPS which isn't ideal.

I just played most of the demo.

It's a lot better than part 1 on all counts.

Part 1 was kind of a mess that I respected for swinging for the fences.

This is more polished. Still some jank... but its a demo.

I am on board with this.

dlss seem broken or do I have to roll back to K/ Very noisy. TSR looks a lot cleaner

edit: force profile K seems to solve the problem

I'm always down for more Lovecraft. However, I would be really down for another Alone in the Dark. The "Remake" was pretty good, imho.

I kind of liked detective vibes of the first game though. :(

I'm supporting these guys because they truly deserve it. The situation they're facing in Ukraine is not easy, so I'm definitely getting it, no matter what.

Just played the demo, damn the game looks gorgeous and the gunplay is vastly improved compared to the first game. We are eating good man

Just finished the demo. Was decent. Sure it's got some slight jank but like the art style and the setting. I'm always in for some lovecraftian adventures. I hadn't even heard of this series until i saw a random gaming post on instagram talking about this and some other upcoming horror games (inc End of Abyss that looks great) Will definitely keep an eye on this for when it comes out.

I'm really happy to hear that the demo is good. I love the original game so this might be a day one purchase for me.

I've been on the fence. Do you actually get to see the cosmic beings? The first one was on sale on switch, but I bet the PC version is probably the best way to play it. It's like the Sherlock Holmes games. I own quite a few, but they only hold my interest for so long.

Framegen is broken for you aswell?

After looking at Gitaroo's post i forced profile K in nvidia app for super resolution. I also used Preset B for Frame Gen. In game Dlss quality. Quality settings for all the graphics options. 2x frame gen. I have this OCD of getting the best settings for any game/demo before i can jump in and enjoy it. Optimisation wanker. Game played fine. few frame drops here and there but nothing major. Im running a 5080 and a ryzen 7 9800x3d.

Terrible experience on a 11600. Tons of stuttering every few seconds regardless of settings, CPU limited to below 60fps most of the time with drops to the 40s. Frame generation seems to make the stuttering even worse, I could not bring myself to finish it which is a shame as it looked interesting enough.

Which GPU? Weird because I did not experience stuttering at all

Hoping this does well and we get more games in the series. There's not many games with sequels not directly pull from H.P. Lovecraft. Build up the lore.

I thought it was strange how they compile shaders on a level per level basis, instead of doing it all at once when you first load the game. I don't think i've seen that implementation before and I wonder if it could be contributing to some of the performance issues and stuttering.

I liked the character designs, especially the girl's; they look pretty decent.

Unlike the previous protagonist, who looked like a cocaine-snorting bum... and his backpack was ugly.

The first one couldn't really hold my attention past the first 10 minutes. Never really got into it, even though I should have loved it, as I like the dev's Sherlock Holmes games for the most part.

This seems like an improvement by every metric. The environment is far more interesting. The visuals are top-notch. I like what I see.

I like the original character with his droopy eyes.

I like the new one too. He looks like a lovecraftian Indiana Jones.

I force everything to M in my NVPI, I guess I should say I am reverting it back to game default K

Dlss 4.5 is very unstable in ue5 games, even in those that have native support (like directive 8020). No one gives a fuck...

K is the most stable preset for this engine.
