I don't see much acknowledgement of that comparison yet either. I don't deny there are legitimate examples, but this character is a bit of a reach and honestly diminishing the original argument which does hold merit.

I really liked the actress since her role in Daredevil, this was way before GOW nonsense. She is not 10/10 but she still looked very attractive to me.

True, but the initial version was so heavily 'inspired' by Elliot/Ellen Page that Naughty Dog actually had to modify her design before launch to avoid issues. And despite The Last of Us Part II being widely labeled as peak 'woke' by many on this forum, it features one of the most compelling, realistic, and attractive female protagonist designs ever made. Unless, of course, some people here confuse a character being 'attractive' with just having massive tits.

Sure, the negativity can get a bit much at times, that said, 80% of the people here are grown adults who are generally well-behaved, and if you genuinely dislike the place and the people in it, you can simply log the fuck off - It's really that simple.
What I've never understood are the people who get triggered, storm into a thread and immediately start regaling everyone with colorful epithets: incels, virgins, racists, bigots, whatever the flavor of the week happens to be. Apparently, labeling an entire community is easier than actually engaging with it...
Then you have bossman and the mods, who put in a ton of work. Honestly, you have to be a special kind of shithead to get banned here. You practically have to make it your life's mission. The moderation team is incredibly lax but at the same time there's a very clear line: act like an asshole long enough and you'll eventually get shown the door. And you know what? It works. I wouldn't have it any other way.
I bring this up because lately I've noticed more and more users pulling the same tired routine: "incels," "virgins lol," "you're all racists," followed by the obligatory attempt to shove everyone into the same shit -basket...
And yes, the whole woke vs. anti-woke debate has become exhausting but...can you really blame people for being fed up at this point ? It's been over a decade of being told what to think, how to act, what qualifies as racist™, what doesn't, which words are acceptable, which opinions are forbidden, and so on.
Then you pile on the corporate PC bullshit. The kind that's so obviously performative that nobody with functioning eyes can miss it. Unsurprisingly, it has divided people. Combine that with the fact that most people don't enjoy being lectured to, and congratulations: you've created the perfect recipe for endless shitstorms.
I've generally avoided getting involved in these discussions, but even today I've already been called an incel twice and lumped together with other "wrong-thinkers." Apparently, the prescribed treatment is either touching grass or seeking professional help.
Which brings us back to the irony of it all: people endlessly complaining about how obnoxious, toxic, and vitriolic everyone else is while somehow managing to be even more obnoxious, toxic, and vitriolic themselves.

If anyone thinks they are scanning an actress, working with her for months doing performance capture and then saying "let's make her ugly" they are out of their minds lol, it's a game version of a person being compared to the real life version which is already unfair. Lighting in games isn't going to be the same as real life, in movies and film they work on lighting for hours before shooting a close up and then still edit it after the fact.I think in the case of this new God of War it's definitely a lack of make-up - they seem to have done a pretty good job of modeling her, but it's the same as Intergalactic, you take away all makeup and beautification women usually use and it doesn't look good. Her skin and hair looks ratty. So I do think wokism plays a role because they probably feel it would be sexist or something to doll them up a bit when it's just normal lol.
For me, the craziest new one is Jean Grey - she is hideous, and again like with Mary Jane - that character has always been attractive. Like wtf is this.
Others have pointed out a lot of photos people are using of her in real life are from when she was much younger and they are also airbrushed/edited to look even better.
Go look at how WWE 2k games do earlier version of wrestlers like the Undertaker, 1999 undertaker has the current undertakers face scan with old hair styles added on top, it's actually funny because a 30 year old version of him looks 60. It's almost like things like wrinkles etc stand out more with face scans and the shadows tend to be exaggerated by them. People also complain about most of the womens face scans in those games too, they are not purposely trying to make women look unattractive.

He finally solved life's biggest mystery by making it out of the Metroid Dread tutorial.
I enjoy playing as them/ seeing their stories. I'm a straight male, so i enjoy seeing the game world as a female or gay character, from a different perspective. I'd rather a series diversify a bit with other characters than just focus on Kratos. Kratos story will continue, fleshing out the universe with another character is fun and refreshing.
